We are now in the last month of 2020 and after a few weeks and days, we will be celebrating Christmas.
Have you already feel the cold breeze of Christmas wind during evening? (here in the Philippines, because the other country has already a cold weather hehe.)
Have you already decorated in your house with Christmas decors?
Have you already planned for your foods for Christmas?
Anyway, before we go on talking about preparations and celebrations for Christmas... Let me ask you if,
For you, from January up to now, does the year seems so slow?
Or does the year seems so fast? You know what, before the year 2020 has begun, people were declaring and claiming for a year of 20/20 vision—blessings, provisions, level up, fruitful, successful year... Something like that.
Last January 2020, we had our Thanksgiving Celebration (Church Anniversary) with other satellite churches and our main church here in our province. And our theme was Thankful and Blessed 2020. After that mass celebration, our satellite church were planning for our own thanksgiving celebration. We also had a plan for water baptism for other brothers and sisters who have not yet being baptized in water.
We also had a plan for our church building reconstruction. We also planned for Youth Gathering, which we always initiate every month. But all those plans were not achieved and not happened since lockdown came (that was March), and we were all locked in our own houses.
We only had 2 months to freely enjoy the year 2020.
Can we take a seconds or minute of remiscing our life during those lockdowns? Can you still be thankful and see yourself as blessed?
Of course! AMEN!
Because if you are not blessed, then you are not here breathing at this very time. So be thankful to Him.
Can you declare this today...
"I AM THANKFUL AND BLESSED THIS 2020!"Let's take a read in Joshua 3:1-17.
(v1) Then Joshua rose early in the morning and they set out from Shittim. And they came to the Jordan, he and all the people of Israel, and lodged there before they passed over.
(v2) At the end of three days the officers went through the camp
(v3) and commanded the people, "As soon as you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God being carried by the Levitical priests, then you shall set out from your place and follow it.
(v4) Yet there shall be a distance between you and it, about 2,000 cubits in length. Do not come near it, in order that you may know the way you shall go, for you have not passed this way before."
(v5)Then Joshua said to the people, "Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you."
(v6) And Joshua said to the priests, "Take up the ark of the covenant and pass on before the people." So they took up the ark of the covenant and went before the people. The Lord said to Joshua, "Today I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with you.
(v8) And as for you, command the priests who bear the ark of the covenant, 'When you come to the brink of the waters of the Jordan, you shall stand still in the Jordan.'"
(v9) And Joshua said to the people of Israel, "Come here and listen to the words of the Lord your God."
(v10) And Joshua said, "Here is how you shall know that the living God is among you and that he will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Hivites, the Perizzites, the Girgashites, the Amorites, and the Jebusites.
