Whenever I hear the word DOUBT, I always think of the words related to this like, double-minded, uncertainty, unsure, something like that.
Maybe, when you got into this chapter, you experience doubt. Whether you will continue reading this part, or just skip it? You are doubting whether is this worth reading for or not? This is just a small experience.
For Christians, admit it or not, we are also experiencing doubt. When we became a believer of Christ, it doesn't mean that we also became excempted to experienceing doubt.
There are times in our Christian journey where in, yes, we are serving the Lord through our appointed ministries, we are always attending Sabbath, but if you are looking at your life... It is as if nothing changes?
And you come to a point when you are doubting whether you will continue in the Lord? Or just stop right there.
Some people, even though they knew God and heard about Him, they are still doubting His existence. Some are doubting God's power. Some are doubting His love for them.
Since we are talking about doubt, maybe, you are doubting of you will get something after reading this. Could I ever get something beneficial for me if I read this part till the end?
Now, I will ask you..
Are you expecting something at this very moment?
Are you expecting something from God at this very moment?
Are you expecting for God to move in your doubt?
I pray that you will read this chapter till the end, because I believe that this is not an accident thay you come into this part. It is not an accident that you have opened this chapter and reading up to this very sentence.
I pray that you will read this till the last word. God wants to day something to you at this very moment. Please listen.
DOUBT is too broad to discuss. DOUBT is too general to explain because people experiences different doubts about something or someone.
Say for instance... Have you encounter someone thay seems familiar to you? Someone that you are not sure if you really know him/her. And you are doubting whether you will smile at that person or not.
You are doubting whether to take the first step to greet that person or not. You are thinking, "what if I just get embarass?" or "what of I don't really know that person?"
Or say for an example, when you see something that catches your attention, a certain dress or shoes for example, and you want to buy it...
Yet, you are doubting whether to ask its price. What if it's expensive and I can't afford it? Its embarassing to ask and ending uo not buying it.
Another, when you go to place that's unfamiliar to you... It's your first time to go there. So you ride on a jeepney bound to that place.
Now you are dounting whether to ask how much is the fare because you are thinking what if the driver will fool me? (I don't know with you but I experienced this for a couple of times haha!)
I remember the time when it was my first time to travel, I was a freshman college that time. Since the university that I am attending is too far from our town, I am boarding a house.
So, I rode a jeepney and pay a fare. When I am near to my boarding house, I ask the driver for the change. I didn't know that I have paid enough and no change for that. I was embarassed. Haha! That's why I always doubt to ask how much is the fare.
