I was standing in the living room with my husband looking at the broken glass that used to be a vase filled with flowers.
"Jordan! Jackson get down here now!" I yelled up the stairs.
I saw Jordan and Kevin and I's 6 year old son Jackson come down the stairs.
"What mom?"
"Yeah what's up y/n?"
"Do you want to tell us who broke the vase?" Kevin asked.
They looked at each other and then back at Kevin and I.
"Jordan did it." Jackson said.
"I did not! You did it!"
"He did it!" Jackson snapped back.
"No I didn't!"
"Alright, enough." I said breaking up the fighting.
"Vinessa come down here please!"
She came downstairs in a matter of seconds.
"Who broke the vase?" Jordan sent her a face which told me he broke it.
"They both did. They were playing baseball in the house. I'm surprised they didn't break a window." I looked at them.
"Thank you Vinessa." Kevin said before she went upstairs.
"You two couldn't just admit you did it together so you had to blame it on each other?"
Jordan pulled Jackson into a hug.
"Oh we're like brothers. We blame everything on each other."
"Well you two brothers can go upstairs and stay in your rooms." Kevin said earning a laugh from me.
"Jordan is just a great influence on him."
I laughed and helped Kevin clean up the glass.
