"Hey Ruz! Where you at!" I yelled walking into my best friends apartment.
"I'm in here y/n!"
I walked into his living room and placed takeout boxes on the coffee table.
"I'll get plates and forks." He nodded opening the takeout boxes
"Do you have any beer?"
"Yeah, it's in the bottom drawer."
I nodded and grabbed two beers.
"Here you go." I said handing him it.
"Wait, y/n."
"Yeah?"
"Where did all those bruises come from?"
"Oh, uh I don't know. I didn't even notice them. They're probably from work." I said lying to him.
"Was it Jake? Is he hurting you?"
"What! No!" I said continuing to lie.
"Y/n if your boyfriend is hurting you I will kill him."
"Adam I'm fine."
"Y/n I can tell when your lying. Is he hurting you?" He asked again.
I slowly nodded pulling my sleeve up to show him the marks on my arms.
His eyes widened in horror.
He grabbed his jacket and keys.
"I'm gonna kill him."
"Adam wait!" I yelled causing him to stop in the doorway. He looked back at me.
"Don't hurt yourself." He nodded and walked out the door. I watched him walk away knowing that he was gonna be true to his word.
He was gonna kill him, or at least hurt him really bad.
