I was sitting on a bar stool at molly's.
"You have to choose one of them. They are going insane. I'm pretty sure they are gonna end up killing each other if you don't choose."
I looked up from my drink.
"It's not that simple Hailey. I love them both. I've known Jay my whole life and I've been best friends with Antonio since I started in the unit. But I see myself with Antonio more. I see Jay as my best friend and that's it."
"Well then you need to tell them before they do end up killing each other."
"That might be a good idea Hailey."
I downed my drink and went out to my car to go home.

(The next day.)
I walked up the stairs and placed my stuff on my desk.
"Morning y/n." Antonio said with a smile.
"Morning Tony." I said returning the smile.
I sat down at my desk and Jay brought a cup of coffee over to me.
Hailey sent me a knowing look.
"Thanks Jay."
"Alright today we are getting a drug bust done. Suspects name is Jefrey Johnston. Atwater and Rojas your going under as buyers. Oh and partners are getting switched today. Upton your with Burgess. Dawson your with y/ln."
"You got it Sarge."
"Suit up. Everyone goes home tonight."
I nodded and went to get my vest on.

I was sitting in my car with Antonio waiting for the signal that the deal was done.
I heard gunshots through my radio.
"Let's go!" I grabbed my gun out of my waistband and rushed into the building with Antonio on my side.
"Clear."
"Clear."
We turned the corner.
"Y/n watch out!"
Antonio pushed me to the ground.
Right as we fell someone shot right at us. Right into Antonio.
I got out from under Antonio and grabbed my gun.
I saw the guy that shot Antonio trying to run away. I shot him in the knee so I wouldn't kill him.
I turned my attention to Antonio.
"1021 officer down! Requesting an ambulance to my location." I said into my radio.
I took of Antonio's vest.
"Damn it! It went through."
Antonio grabbed my arm.
"Hey listen to me your gonna be ok."
"Tell Eva and Diego that I love them."
"Your gonna tell them yourself Dawson. Your not dying!"
"Help!" I screamed hoping the team would hear me.
Adam and Kim came running in.
"Oh god!"
"The ambulance is on its way!"
Not long after I helped get Antonio onto the ambulance.

We've been waiting in the waiting room for who knows how long.
I glanced at the clock again.
"Checking the time every 5 minutes isn't gonna make anything go by faster." Hailey said with a hand on my shoulder.
I saw the doctor walk out.
"How is he?"
"He's fine and he's stable and awake."
"Can I see him?" I asked.
"Yeah come with me."
We went into his room.
After the doctor left I spoke up.
"You scared the hell out of me."
"Your not getting rid of me that easily." He said with a laugh.
"That's not funny." I said smirking.
After a few moments of silence I spoke up again.
"I choose you."
"What do you mean?"
"I choose you over Jay."
"Really?" His eyes lit up.
I nodded.
"I love you y/n."
"I love you too Antonio."
