1. Keep soothing Bedsheets and Comforters and Wear Comfortable Clothes.

One thing which people underestimate is the effect the bed sheets and bed comforters or quilts can have during a migraine attack. The comfortable they are the more comfortable they provide you.

So be sure to have bedsheets and comforters or quilts which you find soft on your skin and have an overall calming effect on your mind.

Keep the colours of the sheets and quilts dark. Dark browns or dark greys will be preferable. Keep these sheets at handy when travelling, and be sure to keep such sheets on your bed most of the time not in the wash or in the closet. You never know when a migraine attack might hit you so having the bed ready for your rest is good.

2. Have a set of comfortable clothes, which feel soothing to your skiing, and always have such clothes ready for when an attack sets in. Change into them immediately.

Try wearing comfortable clothes all the time, when leaving the house. By comfortable we mean to wear clothes which your skin prefers, this can only be done you being aware of your body.

3. Have a Hot Water Shower

Having a hot shower is a great way to calm the throbbing of your head and eyes, So when an attack hits, be sure to take a long Hot shower.

But it can difficult to stand for along time while a migraine attack takes hold of your mind, and creates a wind of chaos, leaving you physically frozen yet fighting and your emotions are also running high.

For this reason, it is suggested to have shower stool, that way you can sit down and still have a long hot shower.

If a hot shower is not working then try a cold one just pour cold water over your head, it would be better to have someone do it for you.

4. Keep a Migraine Journal

This may seem like a silly thing to do but it can be very useful. When a mind is as active as it is during a migraine attack emotions can have an even more drastic effect on your condition.

For every individual, every Migraine attack is different. Every attack has its ups and downs, so keeping a journal where you write down all the things you are feeling during a migraine attack can help your brain create a space or calmness.

When you write the feelings, and thoughts going on your brain during the storm, your brain gets an outlet which in turn lets it be free of those feelings.

It helps you keep track of your migraine attacks, if there is a sudden uptick in the attacks, then you can look at your lifestyle and figure out what has been triggering the attacks, and when the attacks start to be far and few between then you can look at what new thing has happened which has helped in keeping the migraines attacks to a minimum.

5. Practice Mindfulness Meditation.

Mindfulness meditation is a psychological technique of meditation which focus on feeling and experiencing every thought and feeling in the present while meditating without any restrain.

This has a very calming effect on your mind as it is allowed to feel all the feelings and thoughts without any pressure on your mind, or restrains of morals.

The calming breathing techniques of the meditation also help your nervous system feel calm and lets your body relax and let the mind be at rest from all other bodily tensions.

6. One bonus tip is it always keep your rescue medication at hand.

Always keep it with you in your bag when out, and have a specific drawer or place where you keep your medication at your house.

7. Also, be sure to take the medication as soon as the migraine sets in.

This can not be stressed enough, the faster you take the medication te faster the storm passes. It is advised by all neurologists and psychologists and psychiatrists.

These few simple steps taken during a Migraine attack can help you be as comfortable as possible as you wait for the migraine attack to pass. You can facilitate all this by taking care of yourself keeping a healthy and regular diet. Having a regular sleeping routine. By keeping your body active and ready to brave a migraine attack.
