' Mom I don't want it, it's so expensive!' Rishi was irritated, his mom was after him to buy that expensive toy.
'So what?, you are from a rich family, you will surely buy it, cost dosen't matter'
Rishi was still not ready so his mom took him out to make him understand.
'See it's our standard Rishi, and to maintain status you need to buy expensive things!'
Suddenly a child appeared and started asking for food to Rishi's mom.
'Go away, you dirty child, you will ruin my clothes' She shooed the child away and the child went away crying. Rishi saw this scenario with moist eyes. He went to his mom and said, 'mom give me the money with which you wanted to buy me that expensive toy'
His mom happily gave him, thinking that he finally wanted to buy that toy.
But Rishi took that money, went to a nearby food stall and bought some food. Then, went running to the child and gave the food.
When he came back, his mom was shocked not seeing the toy with him.
'Rishi where is that toy?' She asked angrily.
'Mom the happiness I got by helping that child, is much more than that I would get by buying that toy.' Rishi spoke leaving his mom amused and somewhere a little guilty.
You might have seen such incidents frequently.
As you think about the needy, most of you might get a feeling of compassion and humanity in your selves. But only a few reach out to them and help them.

I am not saying that you need to bring some big change, but being able to bring a smile on someone's face also wouldn't be less. That small yet satisfactory smile will make you so happy, that you can't imagine.

Now, as many people say they don't have the right resources to help the needy. Here are some ways with which you can help them:
•Pay attention to your surroundings, there are a lot of people who need small helps.
•Volunteer time to help. Nothing goes fine in haste.
•Try your best to donate unused items.
•Most importantly don't be selfish, help without expecting anything in return.
It's easy to say to a needy that why don't they work, but in this world where a common man is barely managing to survive, is it easy? Of course not. Thus, try to help in such a way that the needy becomes self -independent.
Always remember,
"Part of being a human is about helping others."
