written by - 111222K

Mythology and industries are two different topics, not even close by to talk about them, but here I am going to talk about the connection between these two. You will be wondering, how is Mythology and Industries connected? Am I right? Then continue reading.....

We will be taking 2 instances from 2 famous epics: Ramayana and Mahabharata.

Instance number 1: pushpak viman

Pushpaka Vimana was the vehicle of Ravana. It was a flying vehicle said to be very dear to the Lord of Wealth, Kubera but after conquering the entire universe, Ravan snacthed the Pushpaka Vimana away. Simple, It was a vehicle that was flying in the air designed like the aeroplanes that we have these days.

The wings of the Vimana are shaped like that of our wings of the aeroplanes with wheels underneath like the Chariot wheels in the Vimana

The wings of the Vimana are shaped like that of our wings of the aeroplanes with wheels underneath like the Chariot wheels in the Vimana.

In the front side, there are said to be 2 birds like the horses of a chariot that much resembles the front of the aeroplane which is shaped like a birds head.

So the structure and design resembles that of our aeroplane. Coming to the mechanism of the Vimana and Aeroplane. It is very similar, someone in the front needs to manage the vehicle. With our technology, we have made it with buttons and gears. The Vimana was managed by a rope made of the strongest material and light enough to help the vehicle turn around easily.

Instance number 2: TV in Mahabharata?

Yes, you heard it right! TV in Mahabharata. Let me let you how. Before the huge war that took place in the Epic. Ved Vayas asked the Blind king of Hastinapur that he can watch the war with his own eyes from the palace and the comfort of his room, but due to being blind and scared of gaining vision and used to listening to his Mentor Sanjay, he asked Maharishi Ved Vyas to give the vision to him. So, Sanjay was given the sight.

The key was that Sanjay had to stare at an empty wall in order to see the war. The wall resembles the TV screen and his eyes used to be able to see the entire war through his eyes and narrate it to the Blind King of Hastinapur.
