Everything in my life goes wrong. Everything. But, when I'm with my friends, I feel happy. They don't care if I mess up, they'll support me either way. I try to keep a happy face for them, but most of the time, when they're not by me, my face falls...
"Happy birthday," Paul says as I switch rings. I put on my real ring so I could actually do things, but I'm going on stage today.
"Thanks. I still hate my birthday, but I'll make an exception," I say.
"Still? Wow, you're persistent," Joey says.
"Yep. It's in my blood. Have you seen my 5 year old sister at lunch? Always demands a slice of cheese on the side, no matter what it is. And then for dessert, she wants another slice of cheese on the side," I say, seeing Joey gag and cover his mouth.
"Your sister's fucking weird," he says.
"Just like me," I say.
"She gets it from you," he says.
"I know. I taught her to have cheese with her apple pie," I say, making him gag again.
"Why," he asks.
"It's a Wisconsinite thing," I simply say.
"Right. You're not from Iowa. I forgot you're weirder than us," he says, walking away before I could say anything else.
"Just wait until he finds out that Wisconsinites like grilling fruit," I say to Paul.
"Grilling fruit," he repeats.
"Yep. Like pineapple and apples," I say.
"Okay, shush. You're too weird," Sid says.
"But-"
"Shush and look at this," he says.
He finished coloring the two places and he sketched the bouquet for me and the bridesmaids.

He also made the boutonnieres for the groomsmen. They were a single rose with a tiny bunch of little snowballs and one lavender stalk.
"Did you stay up all night to make these," I ask.
"Yeah. It was worth it though," he says.
"I finished the groomsmen's tuxes a while back, but I just finished the flower girl and ring bearer last night," I say. I hand him the three and he looks them over, smiling at the flower girl's dress.
"You said Alex's going to be the flower girl and Bruce's little brother's going to be the ring bearer," he asks. Bruce and I have been writing daily and we decided on those two to be the flower girl and ring bearer.
"Yes. Alex's one of those girls that loves to dress up, so she'll love the dress," I say.
"Which one," he asks.
"Yes," I say, making him laugh.
---time skip---
It's time for me to go up, so I let the maggots crowd surf me there. I get dropped at the front and I hop up, standing next to Corey. They sing happy birthday to me and I smile, starting to like this whole 'birthday' thing.
"What are you going to wish for," Corey asks.
"Well, I didn't get hurt today, my hair cooperated this morning, my drawing pencils didn't break," I think out loud.
"That this luck keeps going," I say.
"Perfect. Don't we all wish for that," he says, making me jab him in the ribs with my elbow.
"Ow. I deserved that," he says.
"Damn right," I say.
The crowd cheers as we walk off and I wave to them, disappearing backstage. I walk with Sid and we fantasize about the wedding, hearing the other guys talking about us talking about the wedding. We get on the bus and both of us instantly go to the booth, getting the finishing touches on the sketches.
-evening-
"What about a veil," Sid asks.
"It wouldn't go well with- hold on a second," I say.
"Well with what," Sid asks.
"Hang with me here. What if," I start, quickly drawing a short veil, "it's a short veil. One that goes down to the shoulders in order to put the hood up."
"Perfect," he says.
"And it would be attached via comb," I continue.
"With a face veil," Sid says.
"And an under veil," I say. We're on a roll with this.
"And you would have a crown after," Sid says.
"My dad would put it on in the reception," I say, pointing to Sid.
"And your mom would put on the necklace," Sid says, touching my fingertip with his.
"I would hang the cape up after I get inside," I say, pointing to him with my other hand.
"And sit next to Bruce and the maid of honor," Sid says, touching my fingertip with his.
"And we would have the reception after," I say.
"We are on a roll," Sid exclaims, hugging me.
"Okay," I start.
"Now that we have all of that, we should make the guest list," I say.
"We? I have a say in this," he asks.
"Why not? You've been helping since before the beginning, so you deserve to at least look over the list," I say. I get my spiral notebook and open it, writing the title 'Wedding List' on the top.
-morning-
I wake up with my head on my arm on the table. Like the night we tried to stay up to finish the sketches. But, I did finish the list; we just started to make the card ideas.
"What day is it," Sid asks, rubbing his face.
"Tomorrow. Honestly I have no idea," I say.
"Up again? What this time," Joey asks. He's been the 'listener' for the plans, and he likes all of what we're planning so far.
"Invitations and who's being invited," I say.
"Who's at the top," he asks.
"Both parents from both families," Sid says.
"Hmm. When are you going to visit your parents," Joey asks.
"In the Unholy Alliance part," I say.
"All of it," Sid asks.
"Yes. I'll also be catching up with my family, starting the dresses for the bridesmaids, me and Alex; I'll be making the tuxes for the groomsmen and Bruce and the ring bearer; I'll be helping my parents get or make their tux and dress; I have a lot of things to do," I say.
"I hope you guys understand that I'm not ditching you and that I'll be calling you guys every day," I say.
"But, you can't leave. I have too many things I want to idea with you," Sid says, clinging onto me.
"That's why I'll call. You can tell me the ideas and I'll put them into motion," I say.
"How does Bruce trust you this much? He's literally letting you and Sid prepare everything in the wedding, including making the fucking clothes! It's an insane amount of trust, an unbelievable amount," Joey says.
"Yeah, are you two just leaving him in the dark," Corey asks.
"No, I write to him and his family every day so they know what's going on with the preparations," I say.
"And he's fine with all of this," Paul asks.
"Yeah. He told me that he trusts me and my friends to make this wedding the best," I say.
