Corey lets go and I stop, seeing all of them in their coveralls and masks, all laughing at Sid, who's objecting to something.
"I do not," he yells, turning to me and jumping.
"Oh, hi," he says.
I look at my coveralls on him and see that the waistband is more elastic than the others', so it makes him look like he has a more feminine waist. The legs are longer because I have longer legs than him and they're baggier than the others, so it really makes him look like he's a sugar glider; his natural form. I can't help but crack a smile and keep in a laugh, snapping the elastic to cheer him up a little.
"You look like a sugar glider. Your spirit animal," I say, all of the others laughing harder. Even Craig's laughing a little, but not much.
"I didn't think of that. Yeah, I do," Sid says, looking down to see himself.
"What are they laughing about," I ask, him sighing.
"They say I look like a titless, assless girl in this," he says, me glaring at them.
"We didn't say you were assless," Chris says.
"Really? You think he has an ass? Maybe I'm blind," I say, all of them laughing, even Sid.
"You're sometimes a bitch, but that's a good thing," Sid says, all of them calming down and wiping tears from their eyes. Ari enters backstage and walks to me, seeing Sid and raising her eyebrows.
"Well, I see what you mean. They're about to start the opening," she says. The opening starts and they pinch my ass for good luck, walking onto the stage.
"So, what other shoes did you get," she asks. I shrug and tell her about some of my shoes, her eyes widening at every one I tell her about.
"Wow! They sound so cool! Can I try on the blood shoes," she asks.
I unzip the boots and step out of them, helping her step in them, since she's shorter than me and says she'll fall from how tall they are. She zips them up and puts a hand on my shoulder to keep balance, walking with me down the hall. Eventually, she lets go of my shoulder and walks on her own, talking about how the boots are actually pretty comfy.
"I didn't expect these to be so comfy. Makes me want to keep them," she says, stepping out of them. I put them back on and she talks about how there's another signing tomorrow and that she'll be there to see my mask and give me some more presents.
"You don't have to give me more presents. I'm spoiled as it is," I say, her laughing.
"Yeah right," she says.
"I have to go, bye Liz," she says, opening her arms.
I bend my knees and lean down, hugging her and letting her go with her mom to our next destination. I turn just in time and Sid jumps up, hugging me and standing on my toes to get to my height. It didn't hurt since he's as light as me. I hug him and all of the other guys start walking to the bus. Sid gets on my back and I walk with Shawn, who has Joey on his shoulders.
"You're right, he is a sugar glider," Shawn says.
"Oh really," I ask.
"He dove into the fans from the metal bars and the coveralls I swear to god made him glide farther," he explains, making me smile.
"So what you're saying is that my coveralls made him literally glide in the air," I ask, Shawn nodding.
"Wow," I say, setting Sid down and walking by Corey onto the bus.
"So, we have a signing tomorrow," Corey says, sitting on my bed. I sit next to him and the other three guys sit on Corey's bed, starting up a conversation about the signing tomorrow and how I'll probably get more weird things.
-night-
It's bed time for me, but I don't trust the guys enough to actually sleep. So, I decide to pick out some weird shoes and clean up my mask. I stand and step on my bed, stepping up on Joey's and picking out my bleeding eyes shoes, stepping back down and putting them by my bag. I walk into the bathroom and close the door, locking it so they don't walk in. They're playing a card game in the lounge room, so I had time.
"Okay, hairbrush, toothbrush and toothpaste," I say to myself, pointing to them and smiling. I always did this, and for a person who forgets things easily, it helps.
I use all of them and go to the bathroom, flushing and changing into my pajamas. I walk out and turn off the light, seeing all of them walking to the beds and talking about what they might get.
"I don't know, but what I do know is that Liz will get another bunch of weird shit," Corey says, sliding into his bed. I get into mine and silently fall into sleep, their conversation fading away.
-Joey's POV-
"Yeah. Maybe she'll get weird shoes again," Shawn says, climbing up into his bunk. I do too and peek into one of the boxes, seeing her weird boots.
"You guys think I should wear one of these to see if the fans notice," I ask, holding up the drumstick ones.
"Go for it," Corey says, already in his bed. I hop down and set the boots by my stuff, hopping back up and covering up. Sid jumps up and I turn to the wall, closing my eyes and hugging the pillow Liz gave me. Corey turns out the light and we all go to sleep.
