-after shower-

"Now I feel a lot better," I say to myself. I let my hair down and pick it up, the length being close to 60 feet. Only 10 feet left. I should have my goal in a few days.

"Hey Sakari," I say. She walks to me in my room and sits at the door, waiting for me.

"Which shirt? I'm getting another tat today," I say. She puts her nose on my new shirt, a black cropped t-shirt with 'Don't Ask' written in white bubble letters.

"Good choice. Which bottom," I ask. She puts her nose on a pair of black bike shorts with the nine-pointed star on the thigh.

"Any skirt," I ask. She shakes her head and I pet her, hearing the front door open.

"Could you go see who that is," I ask her.

She walks back and down the stairs, leaving me to get dressed. I had my underwear and bra on, so I just need to put on the two Sakari picked out. I pull up the shorts to my waist and slip on my shirt, looking at myself in the mirror. I looked like I was ready to go to the beach. Sakari walks back and she comes back with Corey, who's having a little conversation with her.

"What shoes, what shoes," I ask myself. I pick out the welder's heels and no-show socks so I don't get blisters. I put both on and walk with the two downstairs, picking my hair up so they don't step on it.

"Where are you going," Scarlett asks. She's sitting with Chantel on the couch, and her baby bump's almost the size of a Halloween pumpkin.

"I'm getting another few tats today. It's at 2 for both of them, so you have time to braid my hair of you want," I say.

"Here, I'll braid while you tell us about the tats," Chantel says. She sits at the other side of the room and I sit in front of her, feeling her start on a French braid that starts at the top of my head.

"So the first tattoo is going to be another heart under my second one and the other one is going to be the tribal S on the back of my neck. It's going to be about 2 inches long and about an inch wide so it'll be covered by my braid if I want it to be," I say.

"When are you getting the tattoo with Sid," Scarlett asks.

"Sometime. To be honest, I don't know. It might be tomorrow, it might be years. But I know what we're probably getting," I say.

"Oh," she inquires. Corey sits beside her and she puts her head on his shoulder, a small smile appearing.

"Since we both love music and he's a DJ, I was thinking a little, simplistic music note. It'll be colored black. It'll be like a DIY tattoo," I explain.

"What about tattoos," Sid asks. I pat the floor beside me and he sits, Chantel telling me to move forward.

"Your hair's too long! Ah," she exclaims, making me laugh. I move up a foot and she keeps braiding while I tell Sid my idea.

"So we'll have a music note to represent our love for music and our friendship on top of that? Cool," he says.

"When should we get it," he asks.

"I haven't thought of that yet," I admit.

"Move up please," Chantel says. I move up again and Sid follows, Sakari sitting on the other side of me.

"How's that burn," Sid asks.

"It's not hurting so that's good. As you can see through the bandage, it's still a little mangled. But I'm still pretty," I say.

"That you are," he says.

"Hey, were you expecting a trunk, box and file box this morning," Joey asks.

"That must be my stuff from the hospital," I say.

"From the hospital? How much stuff did you get while you were there," he asks.

"Well, the trunk's full of stuffed animals, the box has a teddy bear and the file box has the get well cards I got. The things that I couldn't take with were, like, close to 500 to 600 flowers, enough balloons to make me float and gift baskets. I didn't eat what was in them, but from what Sid said, they were pretty damn good," I say.

"And they were. I especially loved the double fudge brownies that woman that was probably 90 shuffled in with. They were still warm when I had one," he says, making me hungry for brownies.

"Stop, you're making me hungry," I say, hearing the guys moving the stuff into the living room.

"Move up please," Chantel says. I move up again and Sid stands, opening the teddy bear box. Joey looks in and his nonexistent eyebrows raise.

"Fuck, I thought you meant a little teddy bear, not a bigger-than-life sized one," he says.

Sid takes it out of the box and sets it next to Joey, the bear taller than him. I think it's a 6-foot tall bear sitting because when Mick stood next to it, it was 4 inches shorter than him. Joey sits in front of the bear and leans back on it since it's against the wall.

"This is surprisingly comfortable," he says.

"I now know you're the shortest person I know because you're shorter than the bear," I say. He makes a grumpy face, but I smile.

"Why can't I be mad at you? It's impossible," he says, his face going back to normal.

"Because you have nothing to be mad at me about," I say.

"Move up please," Chantel says. I move up again and she passes my hair to Sid, who keeps the plait going.

"My hands cramped," she says. She sits on the couch and Jim tosses me Bruce's stuffed animal, making me smile.

"Where to put the flowers," Mick asks.

"On the dining table," I say. He sets them in the middle and the guys take the stuffed animals to my room, probably putting them all on my bed and dresser. See? Like a little sister.
