375: INT. PAISLEY PARK (STUDIO) DAY FADE IN: 

The next day, Rachael gets a head start on her next album. 

RACHAEL: (comes in)

PRINCE: Hey, there you are. You ready to sing? 

RACHAEL: Yes, but I wanna show you something first. (pulls out some lyrics and sheet music) 

PRINCE: What's this?

RACHAEL: It's a song by Neil Sedaka. 

PRINCE: Uh-uh, you can't be serious. You really wanna record another Sedaka song? Last time you did this it was a flop. 

RACHAEL: I know, but just read the lyrics, it's beautiful. 

PRINCE: (reads it) (raises his eyebrow) Wow, this is some deep shit. 

RACHAEL: So can I record it? 

PRINCE: Sure, but let's save that for later. I've got some I want you to record. (hands her another lyric sheet) This is called Aurora, it's like a little intro to the album. 

RACHAEL: It sounds interesting. (goes into the booth)

PRINCE: (plays the track) 

RACHAEL: (starts singing)

RACHAEL: (starts singing)

I always think of "Please Mr. Postman" whenever I write a fan letter to Brian May or Steven Tyler, and I always think of "I Can Dream, Can't I?" When I don't get a response or when I fail at trying to meet them! 🤣
