180: INT. NEVERLAND RANCH (BEDROOM) DAY FADE IN:

A few days later, April 11th, 1990. Michael and Rachael are getting ready for Ryan's funeral.

RACHAEL: (comes in) You ready honey? The limo's here.

MICHAEL: Yes, I just finished the song.

RACHAEL: I can't wait to hear it.

181: INT. CHURCH DAY DISSOLVE TO:

Ryan's Funeral.

PRIEST: We are gathered here today to celebrate the life of Ryan White, a bright young man who was taken far too soon. Mr. White fought a courageous battle with AIDS after being diagnosed in 1984 at the age of 13. Doctors gave him only six months to live, but he managed to survive for much longer. However, Ryan didn't just fight a battle with AIDS, he fought a battle with the school after he was barred from returning, and won. Ryan's life may have been brief, but his spirit will live on through those that knew and loved him. At this time I would like to ask Sir. Elton John to the stage.

ELTON JOHN: Thank you. (sits down at the piano) I met Ryan a few years back and had a wonderful connection and friendship with him. In truth, Ryan White saved my life. This is for him. (starts playing and starts singing)
Turn me loose from your hands
Let me fly to distant lands
Over green fields, trees and mountains
Flowers and forest fountains
Home along the lanes of the skyway
For this dark and lonely room
Projects a shadow cast in gloom
And my eyes are mirrors
Of the world outside
Thinking of the ways
That the wind can turn the tide
And these shadows turn
From purple into grey
For just a skyline pigeon
Dreaming of the open
Waiting for the day
That he can spread his wings
And fly away again
Fly away, skyline pigeon fly
Towards the dreams
You've left so very far behind
Fly away, skyline pigeon fly
Towards the dreams
You've left so very far behind
Let me wake up in the morning
To the smell of new mowed hay
To laugh and cry, to live and die
In the brightness of my day
I wanna hear the pealing bells
Of distant churches sing
But most of all please free me from
This aching metal ring
And open out this cage towards the sun
For just this skyline pigeon
Dreaming of the open
Waiting for the day
That he can spread his wings
And fly away again
Fly away, skyline pigeon fly
Towards the dreams
You've left so very far behind
Fly away, skyline pigeon fly
Towards the dreams
You've left so very
So very far behind...

MICHAEL: (claps softly)

ELTON JOHN: Thank you, at this time I would like to ask my dear friend, Freddie Mercury on to sing "Who Wants To Live Forever."

FREDDIE MERCURY: (comes on) Thank you Sharon darling. While I never knew Ryan, his battle with this terrible disease inspired me greatly. (starts singing)
There's no time for us, there's no place for us.
What is this thing that builds our dreams, yet slips way from us?
Who wants to live forever?
Who wants to live forever?
Ooh...
There's no chance for us, it's all decided for us.
This world has only one sweet moment set aside for us.
Who wants to live forever?
Who wants to live forever?
Ooh...
Who dares to love forever when love must die!
But touch my tears with your lips, touch my world with your fingertips.
And we can have forever, and we can love forever!
Forever is our today...
Who waits forever anyway?

MICHAEL: (claps) (leans over and whispers in Rachael's ear) You should sing something.

RACHAEL: I don't know, I didn't plan anything.

MICHAEL: It doesn't have to be a song you wrote.

RACHAEL: (to herself) "I thought a lot about what song I could possibly do. Then I remembered Elton John was here, and an idea came to mind." (gets up and walks over to Elton, taps him on the shoulder, shakes his hand and whispers something in his ear)

ELTON JOHN: (nods) (both go back up to the stage) Ladies and gentlemen, I've been asked by Mrs. Rachael Jackson to accompany her on piano for a rendition of "Your Song." (starts playing)

RACHAEL: (starts singing)
It's a little bit funny, this feelin' inside
I'm not one of those who can easily hide
I don't have much money, but boy, if I did
I'd buy a big house where we both could live
If I was a sculptor, but then again, no
Or a man who makes potions in a travelin' show
Oh, I know it's not much, but it's the best I can do
My gift is my song and this one's for you
And you can tell everybody this is your song
It may be quite simple but now that it's done
I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind
That I put down in words
How wonderful life is while you're in the world
I sat on the roof and kicked off the moss
Well, a few of the verses, well, they've got me quite cross
But the sun's been quite kind while I wrote this song
It's for people like you that keep it turned on
So excuse me forgettin', but these things I do
You see, I've forgotten if they're green or they're blue
Anyway, the thing is, what I really mean
Yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen
And you can tell everybody this is your song
It may be quite simple but now that it's done
I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind
That I put down in words
How wonderful life is while you're in the world
I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind
That I put down in words
How wonderful life is while you're in the world...

ELTON JOHN: Rachael Jackson! (applauds)

RACHAEL: (bows) (goes back over and sits down next to Michael)

MICHAEL: That was beautiful.

RACHAEL: Thank you.

MICHAEL: (goes up to the mic) Ryan was a dear friend and a wonderful young man. This song is for you Ryan... (starts singing)
Like a comet
Blazing 'cross the evening sky
Gone too soon
Like a rainbow
Fading in the twinkling of an eye
Gone too soon
Shiny and sparkly
And splendidly bright
Here one day
Gone one night
Like the loss of sunlight
On a cloudy afternoon
Gone too soon
Like a castle Built upon a sandy beach
Gone too soon
Like a perfect flower
That is just beyond your reach
Gone too soon
Born to amuse, to inspire, to delight
Here one day
Gone one night
Like a sunset
Dying with the rising of the moon
Gone too soon...
Gone too soon... Bye Ryan, we all miss you very much... Goodbye.

Next chapter will be up when I finish it, thanks for reading!!
