444: INT. NEVERLAND RANCH (KITCHEN) DAY FADE IN:

A few weeks later. March 9th, 1993. The eve of the Soul Train Awards.

RACHAEL: (sipping coffee)

MICHAEL: (comes in) Good morning sunshine! 

RACHAEL: Morning! You off to rehearsals? 

MICHAEL: Yeah, I won't be home late. (kisses her) I love you. 

RACHAEL: I love you too. 

MICHAEL: (leaves) 

445: INT. REHEARSAL STUDIO DAY CUT TO: 

Michael rehearses for the show... 

MICHAEL: (cues to the track) (starts doing the routine) (spins) (twists his ankle) AHHH!!! (collapses to the floor in pain) (holds his ankle) 

BACKUP DANCER: Mr. Jackson, are you okay??? 

MICHAEL; No, I think I twisted my ankle! 

BACKUP DANCER: I'll go call an ambulance! 

MICHAEL: And call my wife too. 

446: INT. HOSPITAL DAY CUT TO: 

Michael has been rushed to the hospital with a twisted ankle. 

RACHAEL: (rushes in and walks up to the front desk) Excuse me, I'm looking for Michael Jackson's room, I'm his wife. 

NURSE: (looks at her) (scoffs) Nice try hun, I've heard that one before. Only family is allowed to see him. 

JAVON: She's telling the truth. (shows her his ID) Javon Beard, one of Mr. Jackson's personal bodyguards.

NURSE: (eyes widen) My apologies Mrs. Jackson. Right this way. 

RACHAEL: Thank you. (turns to Javon) Thank you Javon.

JAVON: You're welcome Mrs. Jackson. 

RACHAEL: (goes into his room) 

447: INT. HOSPITAL ROOM DAY CUT TO: 

RACHAEL: (comes in)

MICHAEL: (smiles brightly) Rachael! 

RACHAEL: Hey sweetie, are you okay? 

MICHAEL: Yeah, I'm okay. I was doing a spin and ended up twisting my ankle pretty badly. 

RACHAEL: Does it hurt? 

MICHAEL: A little but not so much now. 

RACHAEL: Good. 

DOCTOR: (comes in) Ok Mr. Jackson, you're free to go. You'll be on crutches for a few weeks. 

MICHAEL: Thank you doctor. (slowly sits up) 

RACHAEL: Honey, honey easy. (helps him slowly stand up) Bill, can you take his other arm please?
