Michael's Birthday/Wedding Anniversary (1995)

676: INT. NEVERLAND RANCH (BEDROOM) DAY FADE IN: 

One month later, August 29th, 1995. Michael's birthday and 7th wedding anniversary with Rachael. 

RACHAEL: (comes in quietly with Prince while holding a breakfast tray) (both of them) Happy birthday Daddy!!! 

MICHAEL: (wakes up and smiles sleepily) Thank you! (kisses Rachael and hugs Prince) And happy anniversary sweetheart! (kisses her passionately) 

RACHAEL: (gives him an envelope) This is for you honey. 

MICHAEL: (opens it up to find two James Brown tickets) James Brown? Oh thank you honey! (kisses her) 

RACHAEL: You're welcome honey, the show's tonight. I know you two will have a great time. 

MICHAEL: Whoa, whoa, what do you mean "you two"? You're not going? 

RACHAEL: Nope, I am gonna help Mayte plan her wedding, so you're going with Prince. 

MICHAEL: Rachael, no! You know my worst memory with Prince happened at a James Brown concert! Well, my first worst memory... 

RACHAEL: Yes Michael, I'm very aware of what happened that night, but honey that was 12 years ago. It's time you two buried the hatchet. 

MICHAEL: Rachael, I still have nightmares about it! I remember it like it was yesterday... 

FLASHBACK

Present. 

RACHAEL: Michael, you're exaggerating! 

MICHAEL: Ok, maybe a little, but I don't wanna go with him! 

RACHAEL: Well too bad, you're going. 

MICHAEL: (pouts) Fine. But I'm taking you to dinner after the show. 

RACHAEL: Deal. (kisses him) 

677: INT. PAISLEY PARK (LIVING ROOM) DAY CUT TO: 

Meanwhile at Paisley...

PRINCE: I'M DOING WHAT WITH WHO??? Uh-uh, no way in hell am I going to a concert with Jacko, especially James Brown.

MAYTE: But honey, you love James Brown! 

PRINCE: Mayte, Michael EMBARRASSED me in front of him! The Godfather of soul! I still have nightmares to this day!
