This chapter is dedicated to Prince who passed away 5 years ago on this day. Also, slight time skip. Enjoy!

517: INT. HOSPITAL ROOM DAY FADE IN: 

One month later, October 31st, 1993. 

PRINCE: (comes in) Hey Rachie. 

RACHAEL: (smiles brightly) Hey! (hugs him tightly) 

PRINCE: How you feeling? 

RACHAEL: Much better. The doctor said I should be able to go home in a few days. 

PRINCE: Good, cuz I brought someone who misses you!

PRINCE JR.: (runs over to her bed) Mama! Mama! (hugs her tightly) 

RACHAEL: Hi baby! (kisses him) I'm so happy to see you! 

PRINCE JR.: When are you coming home? 

RACHAEL: I'll be home in a few days, and then me and you are gonna fly out and be with Daddy. 

PRINCE JR.: Yay! 

RACHAEL: (looks up at Prince) Thank you so much for watching him. 

PRINCE: Anytime Rach. Oh, almost forgot, I got you a deluxe chicken sandwich from Wendy's. (pulls out the bag) 

RACHAEL: (gasps) Oh my gosh, I love you! Gimmie it! (grabs it and starts eating it) Mm! Prince, you are the best! 

PRINCE: Yeah, I know. (notices a piece of paper next to her bed) (picks it up and reads it) What's this? 

RACHAEL: (swallows a bite of the sandwich and wipes her mouth) Oh, that's just a song I was working on. 

PRINCE: Man, even laid up in a hospital you're still getting ideas! 

RACHAEL: (laughs) Well I had to do something, it's boring in here! 

PRINCE: Why don't ya sing a little bit for me? 

RACHAEL: Oh Prince, I don't know. I'm a little rusty. 

PRINCE: Come on Rach, just give it a try. 

RACHAEL: Ok... (clears her throat) (starts singing)
Turn the light off
Go to bed
Tell me all about the day you had
Lay beside me
It's time to rest
You can close your eyes you've done your best
Let me be your sanctuary
Let me be your safe place to fall
I can take away your worries
The refuge from it all... That's all I got so far, it's not done yet. 

PRINCE: Rachael, that was beautiful! 

RACHAEL: (smiles) Thank you. 

PRINCE: Is it for Mike? 

RACHAEL: Yeah. 

PRINCE: He's gonna love it! (looks down at his watch) Hey, I gotta go, but I'll be back in a few days to pick you up. (kisses her cheek) Love you, you keep eating. 

RACHAEL: I will, love you too. 

PRINCE: (turns to Prince Jr.) Say bye to Mommy. 

PRINCE JR.: Bye bye Mommy! 

RACHAEL: Bye! 

518: INT. CAR DAY FADE IN: 

A few days later, November 7th, 1993. Rachael has been released from the hospital. 

RACHAEL: (gets in the car) Well, how do I look? 

PRINCE: You look great! 

RACHAEL: I know! Look! I've got an ass again! 

PRINCE: (laughs) 

RACHAEL: So, where are we going? 

PRINCE: Mexico City. Mike said to meet him there. I should warn you though, he might be a little down. I guess he had a tooth pulled a few days ago and some pretty intense scalp surgery. 

RACHAEL: Scalp surgery?! Why?! 

PRINCE: I think it was to sew his wig into his hairline or something so it stays put and looks more natural. He's really never been the same since the Pepsi accident. 

RACHAEL: I hope he's okay. 

PRINCE: Don't worry Rach, he'll feel better once he sees you. 

519: INT. HOTEL SUITE DAY DISSOLVE TO: 

Later that day, Michael and Rachael reunite. 

RACHAEL: (comes in) Michael? 

MICHAEL: Rachael! (gets up and hugs her tightly) (kisses her) Look at you, you look wonderful! 

RACHAEL: Thank you! How are you doing? Prince said you had surgery. 

MICHAEL: I'm fine honey, the doctor gave me some pain killers. 

RACHAEL: Good. 

MICHAEL: But I have to give a testimony tomorrow, a songwriter Quincy and I worked with during Thriller is claiming that I stole some of their songs.

RACHAEL: What? That's ridiculous! 

MICHAEL: I know. (lays down on the bed) It never ends for me Rachael. 

RACHAEL: (lays down next to him) It's gonna be okay honey. 

MICHAEL: Can we go to bed now? I don't feel very good. 

RACHAEL: Sure sweetheart. (lays down on his chest and falls asleep) 

MICHAEL: (takes a few pills and falls asleep)
