"I brought chips." inalog-alog ko ang hawak kong mga chichirya dahilan para matawag ang atensiyon niya."Why? Are you hungry?"
Umiling ako. "Nope. I just thought that it will feel amazing if I have something to eat while watching the meteor shower. Want one?"
"I'll pass. I'm restraining myself from eating chips if I like my gall bladder to see another tomorrow." he waved away his hand at the chips while assembling the telescope and gradually reading what's on the manual.
Well, he mentioned once that when he reads books there are always chips beside him.
Aero invited me to watch the meteor shower although I'm not really fond of celestial bodies. I've got nothing to do on a Thursday night so I accepted his invitation to me. He came over to our house since he said he doesn't want my grandparents and cousins to think that he's going to do anything suspicious to me. That's why we're at the balcony of my room, setting up the equipments needed for stargazing and watching the meteor shower later.
Watching him as he focuses on what's he doing makes me think he's really adorable.
"A few more spins...and—"
CRASH!
Shattered glass fragments are scattered everywhere on the floor.
"Aero! Are you okay?" I went near him but he stopped me, with his eyes deadpanned staring at the broken glass. He started picking up those carefully but immediately has to let them go when he writhed in pain.
"Don't! Gosh! Why did you picked it up with your bare hands?" dali-dali kong hinanap ang walis at dustpan upang linisin ang mga bubog.
"I'm fine. It's just a small cut." he reassured as he sucked out the blood on his thumb.
"What are you doing?" tanong ko sa kaniya.
"Taking care of a small cut on my finger." he looked at me innocently.
There's no way that's a small cut. Blood is dripping all over his palms!
I can't believe I'm seeing him like this now. "Wait there. I'll go get my first-aid kit in my room."
Don't you have any idea on how to take care of cuts?"
"Not really. What comes in my mind first when I'm wounded is to stop the bleeding at any way possible." sagot niya at napapikit ng mariin nang idikit ko sa sugat niya ang piraso ng bulak na pinatakan ko ng alcohol. "Ow! I'm gonna die!"
"You're not going to. You should at least learn how to do these things. I'm pretty sure there's at least a first-aid kit in your house, yes?"
"Yeah, pero walang laman kapag ako na ang gagamit." he bit his lower lip as he looked away, breathing slowly. "You should've just used betadine..."
"That's ridiculous. It's not like your family's using betadine and alcohol as bathwater." I commented.
"Betadine has been part of my mom's daily skincare routine, so there's no reason to get cranky over an empty first-aid kit." he whispered.
"I'm sorry for making you worry about my wound. I'll be more careful from now on." aniya at iniingatang huwag igalaw ang kaniyang kamay.
