"As for your pair, I can say that your presentation, without a doubt, is splendid. The accuracy of relayed information is explicit. Clearly, your efforts and hardwork in the research is showing. Anyway, good job, Ms. Vergara and Mr. Dominico."The panels gave us a round of applause. I can't help but clap my hands in my mouth together just to contain how proud I am that the defense went smoothly.
"Thank you, ma'am and sir." saad ko. We soon then waltzed our way out while the panels are busy writing the scores they've given us.
I jokingly hit Baldo's shoulder, causing him to turn around and look at me with a grim expression.
"We did it!" I exclaimed.
"Y-Yeah, now shut up and stay away from me." he hostilely answered as he slapped my hand from his shoulder. He then went somewhere unbeknownst to me.
That's right. He made it clear that we're not friends to begin with. And, because the research is over, we should go back on how we're supposed to be.
I shooked my head, this is no time to be sullen, I should celebrate! Small achievements are still achievements, you know.
As I indulged myself in the milk chocolate drink that I just bought on the cafeteria, my phone rang. I quickly turned it on and found out that there's one-week break that will take effect next week, like some sort of a sembreak.
Perhaps I could go home and spend the time with my mom. She might be dying to see me now that I just got done with the requirements. I also miss her, of course, especially when we both watch my father's game replays whenever I'm home.
"Oh, hey. What's up?" I casually greeted them on the other line as I took another sip.
"Do all of you have plans for next week?" Even from the other line, Aero's voice sounds monotonous.
"Well, magbabalak pa lang. I'm planning on going home to my Mom." sagot ko.
"For how long?" tanong naman ni East.
"I haven't decided yet. Maybe the whole week."
"What?!"
She should learn how to minimize the volume of her voice sometimes.
"Why? Got a problem with it?" tanong ko sa kaniya.
"Yes. You should've told us sooner. We'll come with you there." sabat naman ni Tohru. "I miss having chit-chat with Tita."
"I'm pretty sure that would only last a day. You know, one moment your Mom misses you, and then the next day, she'll tell to your face that she's sick of seeing you live like a slob." tila ba walang preno sa pagsasalita si Wendy. To be honest, she's right. That actually happened when I'm home one time and I got scolded because I never did at least one chore.
