Chapter 4 - Wingmen

I'm doing my best in holding back. The leaves were trying to get in my nerves but, similar with any other wise men in history, I'm trying to surpass the limits of my short-lived patience.

"Wala pa ba?" tanong ko sa kabilang linya.

"Negative."

They need to hurry up or else I'll revoke my involvement in this plan.

It's coming!

I covered my nose out of reflex, "Achoo!"

Some bystanders that walks past me probably thinks that I've lost my mind, hiding myself in a thick bush. What makes me look more suspicious is the fact that wearing a black cap and a mask covering half of my face, along with a pair of binoculars that I've been peeking on and off ever since I came here.

I'm quite fortunate that it's currently lunch break. Although it pains me to sacrifice this time for the sake of something that's somewhat necessary.

"Position. Target locked."

Napaayos ako ng postura mula sa kinaroroonan ko. I beamed at Wendy, West and East that's chilling in West's car and pretending like they're cooperating with the mission. Unfair.

Bumalik naman ang tingin ko sa kay Tohru na nagpapanggap ding abala sa pagsipsip sa strawberry frappe na inorder niya kanina. Nakaupo siya sa di-kalayuan at pilit na inihahalo ang kaniyang sarili sa dagsaan ng mga tao.
Bahagya siyang sumusulyap-sulyap sa mga ito at inaabangan kung paparating na ba ang target.

"Code: Red." wika pa nito sa kaniyang phone. Dali-dali naman akong pumirmi at nagsimula nang maghanap sa kumpulan.

Red... Red... Red...

"Bingo!" bulalas ko at mabilisang umalis sa damuhan. They better pay me with a box of ointment in exchange of doing a good job as undercover.

Nilapitan ko ang BMW X3 na nakaparada sa kabilang bahagi ng kalsada. Kumatok ako sa may bintana nito. Agad naman nila itong ibinaba.

"Wala kaming binebenta—aww!"

"Pasok." utos naman ni Wendy at binuksan ang pinto pagkatapos kutusan si West.

I don't really know anything about cars, motorcycles and anything of the sort. That's probably the cause why I'm wondering why men loves those, even reserving a conversation about  remarkable brands. That's what I've observed whenever Baldo and West lumps together during a sleepover.

"I only have thirty minutes left."

West got a hard time fetching us one by one due to the reason that we're in different universities, so he kept on complaining and bickering that we could've just gone in one university. Easier said than done.

"The three of us decided to cut classes just for today." sagot ni Wendy. Her actions contradicts completely with her visions. I remember her saying that she wants to study harder when we're celebrating our highschool graduation. Guess she already gave up even before she manage to endure.

"Isn't it exciting? Matagal na rin mula noong huli akong nag-cutting!" East thrillingly exclaimed. Napansin kong mula noong nakasama niya si Aero ay madalas na rin siyang nahihilig sa mga gawaing hindi niya usually ginagawa dati. She looks more laid-back now in terms of studies compared to when she does nothing but to charge herself with pressure on her studies even though no one asks her to do so. I don't know if Aero is a good influence for the reason that I don't have the grasp of his whole personality yet.
