I entered the Guidance Office first thing in the morning when I'm in the Academy in expectation that I'll got new complaints and new complainants.

Damn you, Agnes, for giving me a heartfelt sermon 'til 3 AM about where I got my bruises.

Damned liars. They sure know how to point fingers at others when they do things that's clearly their fault. They should at least be grateful that I'm not raising objections.

One of the possible complainants may be that girl in her wheelchair. Had not I talked to her in a condescending way in our classroom, news about me being knocked out won't spread like wildfire.

She may look frail, but her knowledge about a human's pressure points and acting makes her terrifying.

But I can deal with her. It doesn't matter if she's a girl.

Seeing my schoolmates who cower with fear and give way as if I'm a king that must not be touched suits me fine. Probably, my locker right now is filled with letter of challenges, again.

I'm about to pivot the damned doorknob but for some reason, it doesn't seem to be turning. Para bang may pumipihit din sa kabilang side ng pinto. Sinubukan ko ulit itong pihitin ngunit ayaw talaga nitong magbukas.

"Hey! Kung sino man diyan sa labas ang nang-gu-good time sa akin at ayaw akong palabasin dito sa Guidance, ngayon pa lang sasabihin ko na. Hindi ka nakakatuwa."

Sounds like a self-assertive witch in there. As if I'll let go.

Her disproportional bangs with purple highlights on her hairtips can ruin a perfectionist's day. And that doesn't end there, her eyes are brimming with immeasurable arrogance. Makes me want to stab it with a fork.

"Anong tinitingin-tingin mo?" mataray na tanong niya. Upon receiving silence as an answer, she just rolled her eyes as she walked straight past me.

"May kailangan ka ba, Baldo?" biglaang tanong ng councilor na abala sa pag-scan ng kung ano mang nakasulat sa papel. "If you're going to ask if there's complainants, I'll tell you that this day is a miracle. Rejoice. There were none."

What!?

"That sounds absurd. Walang dumulog dito kahit isang babaeng nakaupo sa wheelchair?" tanong ko.

"Why? May ginawa ka na naman bang kalokohan?" taas ang kilay na tanong ng councilor pabalik.

"No." I denied. The scumbags that I've beaten up are from Carson so it's unlikely that they'll going to report it here at Astra, knowing that they're the ones that initiated and brought their fates upon themselves.

"That sounds absurd." pag-uulit ng councilor. I'm willing to consider that she's mocking me. "Ibig sabihin ba noon, nagbabagong-buhay ka na?"

"Why would I change my life when there's nothing that needs to be changed?" tanong ko at isinara na ang pinto sa Guidance.
