"So we're serious about making the announcement, huh?" Andrew asked, scratching his jaw nervously as he sat across from Garrett on the couch in the tiny house. His handsome face was filled with uncertainty, his sweet brown eyes squinting as he considered what Garrett was suggesting.

"Well yeah, Andrew, we have to say something. If we decide to stop recording the podcast in two episodes, don't you think the fans will want to know where we went?" Garrett asked with a nonchalant shrug, and Andrew let out a breath. "Well, yeah... I mean, I guess that's true. But I'm just not sure I'm ready to, you know... like... announce what I'm going to do next. Because I don't even know," Andrew argued. He bit his lip nervously, and then he absently got up and headed for the kitchen, rummaging around in the fridge.

Andrew and Garrett had been in talks for months now about the plans for the Sweet Boys channel. The boys had started the channel during quarantine and it was a runaway hit. They'd decided to start with a podcast, mostly because it was something easy they could do together while stuck in the house without the ability to go many places. And to their utter shock, it was amazingly successful. So successful, in fact, that their fans assumed they'd be at it forever. The trouble was that the podcast was only one part of Garrett's master plan for the future. He saw the Sweet Boys doing more than just sitting around chatting, and Andrew agreed that on their shared channel they should travel, get into funny adventures, and break out of the tiny house to take their show on the road.

Garrett also had ideas for his own channel, the place he used to indulge his every whimsical fantasy and to share all of his fandoms and hobbies. He was eager to let the fans of the podcast know that he saw the Sweet Boys as more than just a weekly podcast, but more of a mindset, a place where positivity and good vibes ruled.

Andrew agreed, and he was fine with explaining about the shift from the podcast. But the trouble was that, when it came to his own future plans, he had no clue what they were. The truth was that, while Andrew loved working with Garrett and the personal freedom that he'd gained when he'd made the difficult decision to leave his partnership with Shane, he wasn't completely fulfilled professionally. As much as Andrew knew that ending his work with Shane was the right thing to do, deep down he had to admit to himself that he missed the creative outlet he'd had when he and the controversial YouTuber had worked together. Andrew missed making things he was passionate about, and he just wasn't sure how to continue producing meaningful content on his own.

He had some ideas, of course. He'd even shared them with Garrett, as well as his girlfriend Y/N. But he didn't have concrete plans, just a bunch of ideas floating around in his brilliant mind, and he certainly wasn't ready to spill them on the podcast where hundreds of thousands of people regularly tuned in each week to listen to he and Garrett chat.

Andrew had confided in Y/N about his longing for more creativity. He didn't want to hurt Garrett by any means, but he sort of missed Shane, or at least, he missed the work. He loved creating and making things that were interesting and different, and he desperately wanted that outlet back. Y/N was a writer on a network sitcom, and she was creative and ambitious. The two had been together for three years, and Y/N believed in Andrew more than anyone. She had encouraged him to follow his own dreams and aspirations. She'd been the one to back him up when he decided enough was enough with Shane, and she'd been the one to urge him to seek out ways to continue to grow professionally.

She had a lot of connections in the entertainment industry. Her dad was an executive at Apple, and he knew a lot of people. Y/N had wanted Andrew to pursue some mainstream documentary opportunities, and she and her dad had even offered to put Andrew in touch with some of the people they knew. Andrew had tossed it back and forth in his head for weeks, torn between the independence and freedom that would come with making things on his own YouTube channel and the financial backing and creative support of mainstream media. Either way, though, Y/N was his cheerleader. She believed he was absolutely brilliant and that he could accomplish anything he put his mind to. He just didn't know exactly what his mind wanted to achieve, and the idea of discussing it on the podcast turned his stomach.
