Instagram was going absolutely bonkers. Andrew had never had so many notifications on his phone in his 29 years, and he had at some point during the day hid the Iphone in his pantry because he was starting to feel that familiar tightness in his chest that he always got when he felt anxiety creeping into his bones.

Garrett had just posted the teaser for the boys' newest YouTube video on his main channel, "Making a Hit Song in 24 Hours, Part 2" and the guys' fans were literally exploding. It had been longer than either Garrett or Andrew had really planned to go since the last time they'd posted a video on the main channel, and the first since Andrew had officially become Garrett's producer, editor and co-creator. The first time the guys had done the video where they tried to create a song in a day, along with their musically talented friends Caleb and Bruce, no one had any idea what to expect. Andrew at that time was still working for Shane and he was filming Garrett and participating in the video mostly because he was his best friend and because Andrew had a little bit of experience producing music himself. He and Shane had been on a break at that time, and no one was expecting much from any of them.

They released the video where they made the song "Now I'm a Baby" and it was a massive hit. Like really massive. So massive, in fact, that the hilarious song about three extremely over-confident babies appeared on actual music charts, like ahead of Post Malone and Drake and other popular artists. It was really the first time Garrett had ever been covered by mainstream media and it was big news on YouTube that these four random friends were talented enough to create such a bop. If expectations were in the basement for the video, the results were in the stratosphere.

Since the video was released, a LOT had changed. Right after the first video came out, the world went into lockdown mode due to the pandemic. Andrew and Shane parted ways, and Garrett and Andrew fled to Washington. Bruce had been a working music producer in Hollywood who released his own music but was mostly known online as the Vlog Squadder Carly Incantro's ex-boyfriend. Now he had released several albums of his own and was producing for Katy Perry. Caleb, a singer and songwriter, had released several romantic and emotional love songs on his own since splitting with his band, and he was also in his first adult relationship in years with his girlfriend Ruby.

Garrett and Andrew had come full-circle as well. The best friends had taken the quarantine break and Andrew and Shane's parting of ways and used it to create a hit podcast called "Sweet Boys." Bolstered by Garrett's loyal fanbase and the popularity Andrew had accumulated from his time working as Shane's right hand, the two guys produced the podcast for a year, and then they started doing more videos together. Garrett asked Andrew to officially work with him on his main channel, and Andrew had agreed, taking on the role of producer, editor, creator, and mostly, "Garrett wrangler" (as the boys' manager lovingly called it), which meant their team counted on Andrew to keep Garrett on task, posting more regularly, following through on his promises online and trying to show more of his life to the insatiable followers of his channel.

All this meant that Andrew was feeling the pressure. Garrett's channel was so popular, and every time the boys would drop a video, sponsors would clamor to get involved. Garrett had always been able to skate by on sponsorships and could post as little as he wanted without it mattering much, but with their new management and Andrew now involved, it seemed imperative that the duo generate consistently good content. There was no more safety net. It was make it happen or fizzle.

Making the second song had been Garrett's idea, but everyone loved it. The hit song video was one of the most popular on his channel, and the guys' manager was eager to see that same success repeated. Sponsors came out of the woodwork when the idea was pitched, and 5 Hour Energy was shocked when they were outbid by Headspace for the coveted role. The price was high, and Andrew had been told numerous times by their management that this was going to cost a fortune if it didn't work out. Caleb and Bruce were counting on the video too, as it allowed them to showcase their God-given musical talents to an audience who usually didn't get to see them.
