"Oh my god! I can't wait to see everyone! It's been forever since we all got together with the friend group!" Garrett shrieked, poking his head into Andrew's room as the red-head fiddled with his mop of hair in the mirror. "Yeah, I know. It's probably been since Friendsgiving, huh?" Andrew said, thinking of he and Garrett's group of Los Angeles friends and their annual Thanksgiving dinner generally hosted at their friend Matt's L.A. home. "It's crazy how the busier we get, the less we get to see each other but I guess that's how it is to get old," Andrew said with a groan, and Garrett laughed. "You're one of the youngest ones in the group!" Garrett said with a chuckle.

The two friends were headed to a party at their mutual friend Cole's house. Cole was hosting all of their friends at his new house in the Hollywood Hills, and Andrew and Garrett were thrilled to have a fun and relaxed night with their favorite people. The friends that were going to Cole's that night were a mix of people Garrett and Andrew had met through Vine and people they'd met when they first moved to Los Angeles, way before Shane and the Squad. Many had lived in their same apartment complex, the one Andrew had lived in with Carly and Erin, and the boys thought of the group as their "chosen family" in L.A.

Garrett volunteered to drive, and he and Andrew headed over to Cole's new digs, stopping at Ralph's to pick up two bottles of wine and a fifth of Jack Daniels before heading to the house. When they arrived, the place was already packed with their friends, and the minute they walked in the door, Garrett made a beeline for Matt while Andrew spotted Caleb and Bruce Weigner standing with Cole and headed in their direction.

"Hey buddy!" Cole called out, and Caleb and Bruce sandwiched Andrew in a big hug as he cackled. "Hey guys, what's new?" the red-head asked. Cole shrugged a little, smiling. "Nothing really, just the podcast and stuff. You?" he asked, and Andrew returned the shrug. "Not much. We haven't started anything new yet, just hanging out and hoping something creative will fall into my head," he said nonchalantly as Bruce nodded in understanding. "We've all been there. You could always come produce tracks again," he pitched, referring to Andrew's prior work producing music, and Andrew grinned. "One day buddy, I'd love to," he said with a smile, and Bruce punched his shoulder. "This dude could use your help," the music producer said, gesturing to Caleb, and Andrew's tall gangly friend laughed.

"Where's Ruby?" Andrew asked, referring to Caleb's girlfriend, and the gigantic singer looked around curiously. "I don't know. She was talking to Y/N, I think," he said, knitting his brows, and Andrew's head snapped up. "Y/N's here?" he asked incredulously, and Caleb and Cole exchanged knowing glances. Y/N was a YouTuber who had a channel where she cooked and baked. She had lived next door to Carly and Erin when Andrew first moved in with the two girls, and she and Andrew had been good friends for years. She had gone to college with Cole and had been in the friend group since pretty much day one, and Andrew still saw her a ton because of her YouTube channel. He would sometimes film and edit for her, even setting her up with Ryland for a collab where she showed him how to bake a key lime pie from scratch. While he was so busy with Shane that he rarely had time to assist any of his other YouTuber friends with their channels, Andrew somehow always made time for Y/N, mostly because he'd been in love with her basically since he met her.

Y/N had been in a long-term relationship with a guy from her college when Andrew first met her, and while he thought she was amazing, she wasn't single. By the time she and her college boyfriend finally broke up, Andrew was dating Gabbie, and when that fizzled out a year later, Y/N had started dating a writer on a network television show. That relationship had recently ended, and for the first time ever, Y/N and Andrew were single at the same time. He'd tossed around the idea of asking her out pretty much since the minute he'd heard through Cole that she had broken up with her ex, but he hadn't worked up the nerve. He really valued Y/N's friendship, and there was something in his mind that wouldn't let him confess how he felt to her, sure she saw him as nothing but a friend.
