A/N: Reader Request - Y/N is an artist and paints Andrew's skin/body like he's her beautiful art too.

Alright @LilBean5, this one is for you. Hope you like it! :)

Andrew had worked all day with Shane, literally all day, filming and editing a specific portion of a new conspiracy video they were working on. He'd spent hours sitting in the same spot, just sitting in front of his laptop, drinking iced coffee and eating an array of carb-laden snacks as he cut clips over and over and over, trying to get the section perfect. It was about 10 pm when they finally decided to break for the night, mostly motivated by Ryland's insistence that Shane spend some time hanging out with him rather than holed up working in the editing room. Andrew didn't mind. He wanted to hang out with Y/N, the girl he'd been seeing for about a month. She'd told him she'd be home just working on some painting that evening, so he figured it would be a good night to cut work short and spend time with his girl.

Andrew has met Y/N at a party he went to at his dear friend Caleb's house. Caleb was a free-spirited musician, and his dreamy, carefree attitude was completely opposite of Andrew's practical, straight-laced personality. Caleb had been Garrett's roommate when they first moved to Los Angeles, and Andrew had immediately clicked with the tall, lanky singer, finding his "Golden Retriever energy" as Garrett called it, endearing. Caleb had been single for as long as Andrew had known him, but about a year prior, he'd started dating his girlfriend Ruby, and she was perfect for him. A graphic designer and artist, Ruby was as free-spirited and creative as Caleb, and she was sweet and kind as well. Ruby had brought along Y/N, her best friend from college and roommate, to the party that night. Y/N was an artist, and while she paid her bills illustrating children's books for a publishing company, she spent her free time painting.

Andrew thought Y/N was beautiful, her [h/c] hair wavy and kind of messy, her [e/c] eyes piercing. She was quirky, self-deprecating, and kind of shy, which was essentially Andrew's personality to a tee. Caleb introduced them, and Andrew was smitten. In his job, he was surrounded by influencers, wannabe models and girls intent on making it in acting or social media. But Andrew was attracted to smart and creative girls, and he couldn't help but be charmed by how introverted Y/N was, how she shyly tucked her hair behind her ears as they talked, her voice as tiny as her petite frame. He thought she was adorable, and he was intrigued when she told him about her painting. He asked her for her number nervously, and she gave it to him even more nervously. He texted her the next day and asked her to coffee, which led to lunch, then dinner, than more coffees, until they'd been spending time together every day.

They'd been on about ten dates and talked every day, but both were so shy. Andrew was really attracted to her, but he was so nervous to make a move or to be too forward. He had been thinking about her non-stop since they'd met, and neither was seeing anyone else, but so far, he hadn't had the confidence to take the intimacy in the relationship up a notch. It annoyed him to no end that at 27 years old, he still struggled with making moves on girls he liked, and he really struggled with being comfortable with sex. With Y/N being as introverted as him, he figured it would be forever until they finally got there.

He texted Y/N to tell her that he was free from Shane's editing prison and asked if she wanted to hang out and watch a movie. She agreed, asking him if he wanted to go to her apartment, as she was in the middle of painting and had to clean up. When Andrew arrived, Y/N was in the living room, easel out, painting something abstract. She had on an old oversized paint-splattered t-shirt which swallowed her tiny body, and her hair was pulled up into a messy bun with tendrils falling everywhere. She had paint and stuff strewn about the apartment, a big drop cloth set down on the floor. Soft music played in the background as she concentrated on her piece.

"Y/N! Are you sure this is a good time to hang out? I don't want to bug you while you're in the zone," Andrew said softly, and Y/N grinned at him sweetly, giving him a kiss on the cheek as he walked in and sat on the couch, watching her. "No, no Andrew, it's fine. It's just, Ruby is staying at Caleb's tonight, and she hates when I paint in the living room because it takes up so much space. I just got caught up in what I was doing, but I'm glad you came." She flashed him a sweet grin, and he blushed a deep crimson, looking down at his shoes before pulling her a little bit closer to him, attaching their lips in a sweet kiss.
