Y/N sat packing her suitcase, all of her wardrobe strewn about the room she had been staying in at Shane's for the past 6 months. She scanned the clothing, accessories and shoes, trying to figure out what she'd want to wear for a four day long weekend in Vegas with all of her friends. She wanted to look hot, of course, and she tried her best to cram as much as possible into her carry-on, sitting on top of the bag to try to get it zipped.

Y/N started working for Shane and Ryland about a year ago, fresh from her graduation from USC. She originally came to Los Angeles from her native Portland, Oregon to attend college, and after graduating with a useless degree in marketing, her parents were keen to see her attend law school or get her MBA. Y/N simply wasn't ready for graduate school, and with no idea what to do with her future, she decided to take a "break" from education, hanging around L.A., teaching yoga at a studio in Hollywood and generally trying to find herself and her passion. The yoga studio is where she met Ryland Adams, and the two hit it off from the moment the small athletic man stepped foot in the long, lean brunette's class. After a few weeks as her "student," Ryland became more of a friend to Y/N, and they started to regularly grab smoothies together after class. At some point Y/N shared her need to find a more stable job in order to get her parents offer her back and buy some time before starting another grad program, and Ryland immediately hatched the plan to hire her as a much-needed assistant for Shane and him. With Shane spending countless hours with Andrew filming the Jeffree series, Ryland needed more help than ever with his channel and managing Shane's ever-growing "business."

After working for the Adams-Dawson household for a few months, Y/N started to become a friend to the "squad." Shane took a liking to her immediately, as she seemed to always be able to anticipate what he needed even before he could. He loved her calm, steady demeanor and her ability to "talk him down" during his meltdowns and spirals. After a few months of working with Shane and Ryland, Y/N's roommate and college best friend Sarah unexpectedly accepted an internship in London and had to move out, leaving Y/N to either find a new roommate or move out. It was then when Shane hatched the plan to have her move into their Calabasas mansion, selfishly wanting her around more. And so she moved into one of the guest rooms at the house.

Aside from her friendships with the squad, Y/N had formed quite an interesting relationship with Andrew. Shane's shy, introverted cameraman didn't form the quick friendship with the brunette assistant that everyone else did, likely because he was so attracted to her from the start that he often found his usual nervousness heightened when she was around. The two flirted often, and everyone could see the chemistry between them and the sparks that flew whenever they were together. But Andrew never made a move, always too nervous to make her uncomfortable or to make a fool of himself, as he regarded the beautiful brown-haired girl as far out of his league. For her part, Y/N found him adorable, and the younger girl always had butterflies when she'd pass him in the house or if she happened to be sat next to him during nightly Chipotle dinners. Her friends who watched Shane's channel asked about Andrew often, and they all thought he was hot. They couldn't understand how their gorgeous friend could be around the shy cameraman without making a move, but Y/N didn't want to rock the boat or ruin the dynamic in the house. And so the idle flirting and sexual tension continued between them.

When Ryland decided he wanted to celebrate his 28th birthday in Las Vegas, Shane offered immediately to fly the six of them there for a long weekend, putting everyone up in huge rooms at the Bellagio. Y/N had at first told Shane she didn't need to be included in the trip, seeing herself as an employee and thus not needed for such an expensive and lavish trip. But Shane insisted, saying that Ryland adored Y/N more than anyone and that it wouldn't be the same without her. And so she packed up for the short flight to Vegas.

As she struggled down the hallway with her enormous bag, headed to the front door to load up into the Uber for the airport, Y/N ran into Andrew in the stairwell. He always stayed at Shane's while editing, residing in the guest room across from hers, and while it was normal for them to have encounters in the hall from time to time, it always left both feeling flushed and nervous. Andrew always thought back to the first time they ever ran into each other in their shared guest bathroom about a month after Y/N had moved in, when he accidentally barged in while Y/N was brushing her teeth before bed and saw her in her actual sleeping attire, which was nothing but her scarlett-colored USC t-shirt, bare legs leading him to think some very un-gentlemanly thoughts about her. He still cringed at the memory of him stammering out an apology for walking in without knocking before rushing out like an idiot. From that point forward, he simply couldn't get the vision of her stood in front of her mirror with no makeup, face flawless, and her perfect body hidden by nothing but a thin layer of cotton. She was perfect.
