A/N: I got a complete mental image of all the girls who listen to Sweet Boys swooning the other day when Andrew talked about tailoring his own clothing. He seemed so unsure of himself and mentioned how he would have to make it masculine and he didn't think girls would be into that and I was like, oh sweetheart you have no idea how many girls are lusting after you right now! This is based on that idea.
"Sometimes I just don't know if what I'm saying is like... you know, OK," Andrew said softly, scratching his jaw as he sat with his knees curled up into his chest on the couch in Garrett's tiny home, which the boys had turned into a podcast studio for their popular Sweet Boys podcast. He cleared his throat, clutching his coffee cup nervously, and Y/N smiled slightly to herself when she glanced at his adorable hand-written "coffee" label, which he ironically put over the Starbucks name on the cup to hide the corporate logo. Y/N shook her head slightly to him.
"Everything you say is OK," she said to him sweetly, pushing some golden hair away from her face shyly. "I... you know, um... well, I just mean that you guys have the most loyal fans in the world and all the listeners adore you. I don't want you to worry about that," Y/N said kindly, and the handsome redhead flashed her a warm smile. Y/N felt her heart jumping out of her chest at his precious face, and then before either could say anything, Garrett came bounding back into the room, his own enormous mason jar filled to the brim with plain black coffee. Both Andrew and Y/N snapped their heads up and turned their attention to the tall teddy bear of a man as he made his way into the room to start filming.
Y/N had started working as the boys' producer on their podcast about two months into the show, when their managers decided that they could use some professional production help to keep up with the wild popularity of the podcast. Y/N had come highly recommended to them by their close friend Cole Hersh, who had his own Podcast But Outside. Y/N had worked some for Cole and some for Zane and Heath, and she knew exactly how to manage a podcast. She immediately meshed with the guys, booking them guests, giving them ideas and feedback on the show.
Both boys had immediately taken to the tiny petite girl from Florida. She was sweet, kind and a little bit shy, but she had the sharpest mind when it came to production, and she also had the ability to encourage the boys' individual personalities, tightening up the production value without taking away the quirks and uniqueness which made the Sweet Boys such a runaway hit. Y/N let the guys be themselves, and they both appreciated her for it. She was a perfect addition to their little family.
Y/N had taken to the boys as well. Especially Andrew. She hated to admit it, but she'd harbored the biggest crush on the handsome redhead since the minute she'd joined their show. He was everything she had looked for in a guy: kind, gentle, sweet, ridiculously smart, wickedly funny, and of course, so attractive that it made her weak in the knees. She knew who Andrew was from his time spent working with Shane, but while she definitely thought he was hot when she'd watch him on YouTube, she hadn't expected to be this head over heels for him when she started working with the guys.
She did everything she could to hide her obvious interest in him, not wanting to seem unprofessional or like a silly girl, but she couldn't help it. Everything about him turned her to mush, and the fact that he sometimes confided in her about his anxieties and insecurities made her that much more attached to him. It was like he couldn't see what she thought was obvious to everyone. He was a major catch, and Y/N would have given anything for him to ask her out or to reciprocate the feelings she had for him. Still, she would have never told him how she felt about him. She was sure he barely noticed her or that he thought of her as just an employee and maybe sort of a friend, but that was all. Her heart ached just thinking about it.
That day the two had been chatting about Andrew's concerns regarding the stuff he shared on the podcast. It was completely out of his comfort zone to share so many intimate personal details about himself, as he'd never been in that position before during all his time on YouTube. Fans were just starting to get to know all about him, and it made him feel strange to share his interests and quirks, though he wanted to be real and genuine on his show. Every time he talked about a hobby or interest of his, he would jump in immediately, offering up the info, and then he'd quickly pull back, worried that he sounded weird or too quirky or that he was giving up too much of himself. He was always second-guessing himself.
