It was a beautiful spring day in Los Angeles, and for once, Andrew didn't have to film or edit with Shane. An entire day off for the busy red-headed videographer was almost unheard of, but Shane hadn't been feeling well and decided to take a day off, leaving Andrew with some coveted free time. And so he had agreed to a lunch invite with his friends outside of the "Squad," specifically Bruce, Heath, Zane and Jack. The guys were a combination of Vlog Squad members, ex-Vlog Squad boyfriends and other assorted friends who had all met as a result of their affiliation with David Dobrik's zany crew of YouTubers. Andrew was as soft-spoken and introverted as could be, the antithesis of everything one would expect from the Vlog Squad, but his Vine affiliation prior to his move to Los Angeles had led him to his ex-girlfriend Gabbie, an original Vlog Squadder, and while he no longer talked to Gabbie, he had to admit the guys were pretty good friends. Despite their ridiculous online antics, Andrew kept in touch with them, though he didn't hang out nearly as much as he would have liked due to his commitment to Shane.

The five guys sat outside at a café on Robertson Boulevard in Hollywood, chatting about girls, sports and the latest internet gossip, when David walked up, greeting the boys and pulling up a chair. They weren't expecting the VS leader, whose schedule was becoming more and more packed as his popularity grew, but he had a cancellation on a meeting in the neighborhood, and when he texted Zane to find out where they were, he was excited to join the group. He popped up to the table, camera in hand, and Andrew grimaced a little. He liked David, always finding the younger guy hilarious, but he hated being on camera. He was pleased, however, to see David left the camera sitting on the table, not recording. As they all greeted the youngest member of the group, he mentioned that his assistant Y/N would be running over to pick him up in about half an hour.

"What happened to Natalie?" Andrew asked, surprised that David would work with anyone other than his childhood best friend and obvious crush. David grinned at the red-head, eyes shining. "Oh, Natalie is still working with me, but... you know, there were too many... um, conflicts of interest with her doing assistant stuff for me." Andrew and Bruce exchanged glances as Heath and Zane busted out laughing. "Translation – you can't want to fuck your assistant and then ask her to run to pick up Taco Bell for you at 2 am. It's 'looked down upon,'" Heath said with a gleam in his eye. David groaned. "I don't want to fuck Natalie!" the younger guy said defiantly. "I just mean that when your best friend works for you, it gets awkward ordering her around that much. She's doing more "business" stuff now," David explained to Andrew, who nodded in understanding. "Yeah, I mean that would be awkward to be bossing around your best friend," Andrew told David, and David looked at Heath knowingly. "See, Andrew gets it," David said, and Heath laughed. "He's just too nice to tell you that you're full of shit," Zane chimed in, and the guys laughed.

"So you hired someone else?" Jack asked, and David nodded. "I thought it would be best to find someone who I wasn't so close with before, so I hired Y/N like a real professional. I even reviewed her resume," he bragged, and his friends laughed at how funny their 23-year-old friend sounded trying to act like a businessman. Zane snorted, rolling his eyes as he turned to Andrew, Bruce and Jack. "The problem is, this dumbass managed to find a girl who's even younger and hotter than Natalie." David looked at Zane with eyebrows raised. "She's not hotter than Natalie!" David yelled, and then realized how that sounded. "She's younger, but... I mean, she is hot, I'm just not attracted to her. Not that I'm attracted to Natalie! Fuck, you know what I mean," he stammered on as the guys continued cracking up.

"So you're saying she's up for grabs," Bruce asked, half joking, and David made a face. "Not for you, Bruce," he said with an exasperated tone. "Carly would die," he said, referring to Bruce's ex who was one of David's best friends. "Anyway, shut the fuck up, here she comes." The entire table looked over and saw the young assistant making her way up to them, waving at David. Andrew silently gasped at the sight of her. Y/N was absolutely gorgeous, with long golden-blonde hair, clear blue eyes, and a perfect petite body. She had the most infectious smile, with perfect white teeth, and her eyes crinkled a bit when she grinned. David reached his arm up, giving her a little wave, and she flashed him her brilliant smile as Andrew noticed Jack and Bruce staring at her.
