Coffee Shop (Fluff)

If there was one thing Andrew Siwicki loved, it was a coffee shop. The red-head would have injected coffee into his veins if it were possible, fueling his long days of filming and late-night editing sprees with cups and cups of strong java. From Instagram stories talking about his caffeine addiction to podcasts where he roasted coffee creamer brands for ignoring his sponsorship requests, the man loved his coffee. And if there was one thing he looked forward to, it was his daily trips to the coffee shop.

Of course, he knew how to make coffee. He was even the beneficiary of Ryland's generosity when Shane's bubbly fiancee' would offer the camerman his Keurig cups during his days spent editing at the couple's Calabasas mansion, even fixing his friend iced coffee in a special cup with Andrew's initial monogrammed on it. But Andrew loved the act of going to the coffee shop. He mostly used his trips to Starbucks or the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf as a distraction, a way to get out of his house and out of his thoughts about the hours and hours of footage he would go through per day, painstakingly reviewing each minute of video to figure out how best to tell Shane's stories and captivate the fans. He would never complain; he loved his job more than he ever expected he could love a job. But Shane's penchant for staying indoors and his anxiety which caused him to hole up in his giant house was in direct conflict to Andrew's need for fresh air and distractions. He supported Shane endlessly, and he accepted the hours spent on Shane's couch or in his "war room" as part of the job. And so he used his "coffee runs" as a form of self-care, me time where he could be alone with his thoughts or chat mindlessly with whomever he convinced to come with.

One afternoon Andrew wandered into the Calabasas Starbucks about a quarter mile from Shane's house, clad in his usual editing attire of a white GOAT Erika Costell merch sweatshirt, black Adidas joggers and white Nike tennis shoes, his wild red hair pulled haphazardly underneath his Kansas City baseball cap. He hid the visible bags under his chocolate brown eyes behind black-rimmed Ray Ban sunglasses. He had run late to Shane's house that morning and hadn't stopped at his favorite Starbucks near his West Hollywood apartment, so he eagerly volunteered to do a run to the local shop when Shane suggested taking a break. He rolled up to the counter and ordered his usual Venti Caramel Iced Coffee, as well as drinks for Shane and Ryland, and then absently stood near the pick up area, scrolling through Instagram on his phone to see what his friends were up to.

He barely looked up from his phone until he heard the Starbucks barista yell out "Venti Caramel Iced Coffee for Andrew!" He leaned over to grab the gigantic coffee, and felt another hand grabbing for it as well. He looked up to see who the coffee bandit was, only to come face to face with a drop-dead gorgeous blonde girl with the clearest blue eyes he'd ever seen. Clad in leggings and a long-sleeved sorority t-shirt, skinny rimmed glasses perched on her tiny flawless face, he locked eyes with the girl as she looked up, surprised and giggling.

"Whoops, sorry!" she said in a melodic voice, smiling a little as she let go of the cup. Andrew grinned back shyly before responding, "I'm sorry too. I didn't think I'd have to compete for coffees for Andrew with a beautiful girl." He couldn't believe that actually came out of his mouth, but he was so taken with how pretty she was that he simply couldn't help himself.

The girl giggled again, a sound that Andrew was sure would run through his head all day, as she answered back. "He's Andrew, not me!" she said, gesturing toward her table to an extremely attractive, dark-haired guy who was a dead ringer for Jake Gylenhaal. Andrew looked toward the table, and the Jake look-alike waved to the girl with a huge grin on his face.  'Of course', Andrew thought to himself with a grimace. Obviously a girl like her would be with a super-handsome guy. Just as he was about to attempt a witty comment, the barista broke in again with "Venti Caramel Iced Coffee for Andrew, Tall Skinny Caramel Macchiato for Y/N!" The girl walked up, grabbing both coffees before shooting Andrew a winning smile.
