Reader Request: "Can you do one where y/n and Andrew make a fort and sleep together?"
A/N: So cute! I decided to weave this into the current state of affairs by imagining them quarantining together. Enjoy @byesexual23
It was three weeks into the quarantine, three weeks since the Governor of California and the Mayor of Los Angeles had made a "stay at home" order for all of the residents of the City of Angels.
For Shane, this order was no problem. As he joked often, he'd been practicing for a "shelter in place" for most of his adult life, as there was nothing he hated more than leaving his Calabasas mansion. Ryland, on the other hand, wanted to die at the thought of being stuck in the house doing nothing for a completely undetermined timeframe, while Shane holed up in his office writing his horror movie.
When the Governor came on TV to announce the order, Andrew had been over at the house, working away on Shane's horror movie series. They hadn't started filming anything, but Shane had wanted to start outlining his ideas for his new series about writing and producing a horror movie. It was day 3 of Andrew and Shane working together on drafting a loose outline of their plans for the series.
The same day, Ryland had called Shane's assistant Y/N over to the house to clean out old makeup PR from the beauty room. Ever since Shane had finished the beauty series, Ryland had been itching to get rid of the excess makeup, and he'd begged Y/N to come by and help him with the clean up. The 24 year old auburn-haired beauty had been working for Shane for the past year, ever since she'd been referred to him by Lisa Schwartz, Shane's ex-girlfriend and long-time best friend. Y/N had previously worked for Lisa, and the adorable New York native had become an integral part of the Adams-Dawson household since she'd started working there.
As the two worked in the beauty room, Y/N's phone started dinging, and she knitted her brows, wondering what was going on. She glanced at her cell, eyebrows raised at the 23 missed text messages she'd received from a variety of her friends and from her parents. She gasped a little when she read one to herself, and she immediately told Ryland to flip on the local news. The two watched in horror as the Mayor of Los Angeles announced the stay at home order, and Ryland sighed a little, considering what the situation would look like.
"We better go tell the boys about this, Y/N. Do you need to go home? Are we going to be able to come and go? Shane's going to die if Andrew can't work with him everyday," Ryland rambled on and on, his brows furrowing as he considered the unknowns. Y/N patted his shoulder, trying to reassure him. "It's OK, we'll figure everything out Ryland," she said softly, and Ryland grinned at the red-headed girl weakly. He always appreciated her level-headed personality, even as he felt anxious and uncomfortable.
"Shane! Turn on the TV, the Mayor is on talking about Covid 19!" Ryland gasped as he and Y/N ran in the room, and he groaned. "What else is new?" Shane grumbled, but Andrew flipped it on, and the four watched with interest, trying to understand the rules and regulations. After watching in silence for a while, Andrew nervously reading on his phone trying to find the restrictions on the city website, Ryland sighed. "Well, guys, I think you probably have to go home, huh?" he said sadly, looking at Andrew and Y/N, and both shrugged a little. Shane shook his head briskly.
"No way! Andrew, you gotta just quarantine here, we have so much stuff to do," he said frantically, and Ryland rolled his eyes. "Shane! His health is number one, and so is ours, not your horror movie!" the small thin man said with an exasperated sigh. Andrew scrunched his lips together, thinking it over. "Well... I mean, I'm with Shane every single day, so if anything, we've been exposed to each other for days now," he said slowly, unsure whether he actually wanted to stay at Shane's indefinitely, but his boss's eyes lit up immediately. "Right! Exactly. You're in our bubble. We've been with you for weeks," Shane said with a gleam in his eyes. "If you go back to your apartment, you'll be alone for who knows how long!" he argued, and Andrew groaned a little, not sure whether to feel sad about that or wistful at how peaceful it would be to sit alone in his apartment for months.
