Y/N shuffled into the kitchen of her apartment, clad in a tiny tank top and short gym shorts, rubbing her eyes as she walked immediately toward the coffee maker. She glanced up, seeing her roommate Andrew sitting at the kitchen table, nonchalantly reading on his phone. She popped open the Keurig and quickly made herself a cup of strong dark roast and then looked nervously at the redhead sat at the table, biting her lip a little as she took in a breath.

"Um... do you... do you want me to make you a cup?" she asked him, looking his way, and he barely glanced up at her before looking back at his phone.

"Nah, it's fine. Already drank one," he said quietly, not showing much emotion. Y/N sighed a little.

"Did you sleep OK?" she asked, and he shrugged. "I never sleep that great," he vaguely answered.

"Are you going to work today?" she asked, trying desperately to make conversation, and Andrew sighed. "Don't know. Garrett hasn't woken up yet," the redhead mumbled with another bored shrug. Y/N set her cup down, taking a deep breath, and then she turned to face the handsome ginger.

"Andrew.... Are you just going to act like this forever? Are we really not going to talk about it?" she asked, trying her best to be brave. Andrew raised his eyebrows, his sweet brown eyes wide as he took her in.

"There's nothing to talk about," he muttered, barely audible, and Y/N shook her head.

"Are you kidding? We live together. We have to talk about it," the beautiful girl insisted, and Andrew let out another deep sigh.

"Y/N, we were drunk. Don't make it awkward," he told her, his voice short, and Y/N rolled her eyes at him. He stood up, backing out of the kitchen and heading into their living room, and Y/N groaned, following behind him.

"You're already making it awkward, Andrew. As I recall, we used to be friends. Now... well, you've been treating me like I don't exist for the last week, and I'm honestly sick of it. You kissed me, remember?" she asked, hands on her hips as she gave him a sassy look, and Andrew swallowed hard.

The two had lived together for about a year, "fixed up" as roommates when Y/N had needed someone to live with after her former roommate and best friend Melissa had moved in with her fiancee Joel. Since Joel had previously lived with Andrew, the two thought it would be easier to just switch apartments, so Y/N moved in with Andrew. He'd never lived with a girl before but he had to admit that living with Y/N was easy. She was kind, funny, considerate and neat, the perfect roommate for the introverted cinematographer, and Y/N adored Andrew as well. The two had been barely acquaintances before they've moved in together, but over the last year, they'd formed a nice friendship.

The week before, Andrew and Y/N had gone out to a bar with several of their mutual friends in Hollywood. They'd both drank more than usual and both had let their inhibitions go out the window. They stumbled into their apartment and one thing led to another. Before either knew what was happening, Andrew had planted a fairly passionate kiss on Y/N's perfect pillowy lips. It took her off guard, both because neither had shown any interest in each other before, and also because Andrew was an amazing kisser. Like really amazing. Y/N had to admit to herself that she was kind of into it, and she'd definitely kissed back. The trouble was that they hadn't talked about it since, and worse, Andrew had turned sullen and aloof. For the past week, her sweethearted, funny and kind roommate had turned into a withdrawn nonchalant jerk, barely acknowledging her, and she was both offended and hurt by his attitude.

"Look, Y/N... I'm sorry but... I don't want everything to be weird at the house just because I did something stupid when I was drunk. I'm not trying to be an asshole or to hurt your feelings but... I just don't want to make a big deal about it," Andrew explained nervously, not sounding at all sure of himself. Y/N stared at him, unsure of what to say, but then she decided to be honest.
