Andrew started to stir, feeling the warmth of the sun shining through the windows of the beach hotel in the Hamptons. He rubbed his eyes, letting a yawn escape him, and he rolled over, looking over and instinctively reaching out to spoon his girlfriend Y/N, totally ready to go back to sleep. He was surprised when he opened his hazy brown eyes to see that Y/N was already awake, laying on her side of the bed staring at the ceiling.

"Good morning baby," Andrew said, his morning voice low and raspy, and the girl smiled sweetly, her eyes lighting up laying eyes on her handsome ginger man.

"Good morning," she answered, her voice even softer than usual, and her cheeks tinted pink as she looked down shyly before gazing back up into his eyes.

"How long have you been awake sweetheart?" the redhead asked, eyes fluttering closed as he felt in a daze. He felt like they'd just gone to sleep not long ago.

"Oh, not long," Y/N said quickly, shaking her head a bit. "Just a few minutes... I was just, you know... thinking," she stammered out, looking a little cagey, and Andrew tilted his head, studying his girlfriend carefully.

"Are you alright Y/N?" he asked quizzically, leaning over to tuck a piece of her hair behind her ear and shooting her a sweet grin. "You seem... I don't know. A little bit... unsettled?" he asked, biting his lip as he looked her over. She sighed a little, looking in deep thought.

"NO! I'm fine, I was just, you know.... thinking about our chat yesterday on the plane. You know, about..." she paused, looking nervously up at Andrew, and his stomach dropped before he sighed, shaking his head a little at himself.

"Baby, I don't want you to be upset about that. I wasn't trying to pressure you or push. You know what, I don't want you to worry about it. Just because we're on vacation, that doesn't mean I'm expecting anything. I shouldn't have even said anything." He looked into her pretty eyes, his melting a little at how pensive she looked. "How about we just agree to take sex off the table this weekend?" he pitched, and Y/N's eyes went wide.

"Andrew... that's not... well, I wasn't... I mean," the pretty girl stammered out, and Andrew honestly felt awful for even bringing up the conversation about sex the day before.

"Baby, I invited you on this trip because I love being with you. If you're not ready for more, you aren't and it's totally fine, OK? I just want you to relax so we can have fun together." Andrew scratched his stubbled jaw and then leaned in, planting the sweetest and most chaste kiss on Y/N's lips, and then he flashed her a genuine smile.

"I'm going to go take a quick shower, and then we can get breakfast. OK?" he asked, and Y/N sighed to herself before nodding in agreement, flashing him a very half-hearted smile as she watched him slide out of bed and head for the bathroom.

Sex. It had been at the forefront of Y/N's mind since she had started dating the sweet-hearted red-headed content creator two months prior. Andrew was five years older than Y/N, and while it didn't seem that big of a deal to her when they met, she realized quickly that their age difference also led to other differences when it came to their experiences with sex.

Y/N had only been with one other guy, her college boyfriend Brad, and they'd dated for four years. The sex hadn't been that great, at least as far as Y/N was concerned, and as the relationship started to fizzle out, so did their sex life. Since they'd broken up a year prior, Y/N had only dated casually, and she hadn't slept with anyone, as she wasn't comfortable having sex with guys with whom she wasn't in any sort of relationship.

Andrew, on the other hand, was a very experienced 29 to Y/N's 24. While it had been a bit since he'd been in a long-term relationship, Andrew had been pretty comfortable with casual hookups for the better part of his 20s in Los Angeles, and it was really only in the last year that he had started to make the shift from a guy who was fine with casual sex but deathly afraid of commitment to the opposite. He'd basically woken up on his 29th birthday and decided that he needed to change his perspective. No more sleeping around. Instead, he'd focus on finding the type of girl he had always dreamt about deep down. Someone he could settle down with. From that minute, he abstained from sex and started to date, and after a few months of dating girls who were wrong, he met one who was right. Y/N.
