A short fluffy story because it's this ginger prince's birthday and we're all obsessed!

August 7. Andrew woke up, rubbing his sleepy eyes wearily. He turned over to look at his phone perched on the nightstand in the guest room at Shane's. 10 am. He'd went to bed at 5 after the longest night of editing in a while, but the boys were so busy editing their latest conspiracy video that they barely noticed. They'd been working so hard that they barely noticed anything. The entire Squad had been running around ragged for weeks, Shane and Andrew with their series, Ryland working on his new podcast, Morgan distracted by thoughts of moving back to Colorado, Garrett by a serious illness in his family which had him back and forth to Memphis a ton.

It was so busy, hectic and chaotic at the house that the group barely remembered anything going on around them. So busy that Andrew has almost forgotten. August 7 was his 28th birthday.

He raked a hand through his wild red mop of waves, pulling on a hoodie over his chest, but leaving on the gray joggers he'd slept in the night before. His eyes hurt from staring at his laptop screen, so he hurried to the guest bathroom to put in drops and then pulled on his black rimmed glasses. He frowned at his haggard reflection in the mirror. He definitely looked 28, he thought to himself with a sigh as he made his way down the stairs and into the kitchen.

He looked around and no one was down there. Ryland was normally making breakfast, but not that day. He had left a note about yoga and a meeting in Hollywood. Garrett had texted him to let him know he was headed to Memphis again, and while he'd wished him a quick happy birthday, he didn't say much else as he was obviously distracted by all that was going on with his aunt, who'd been recently diagnosed with cancer. Morgan texted the group chat soon thereafter, telling everyone she wasn't feeling her best that day and was going to see her therapist. Shane was likely still in bed, as he'd bested Andrew the night before and went to bed last.

The redhead sighed, looking around the kitchen. He rummaged through Ryland's stash of Keurig cups, making a face at the options. He couldn't really complain, of course, since Ryland was so generous with his coffee, even making Andrew cups in his own mug exactly how the ginger cameraman liked them. But Hazelnut and dark roast only?? Was he kidding?

As he was about to resign himself to Hazelnut, in walked Shane's assistant Y/N. The beautiful brunette hadn't been working for Shane for long, and Andrew didn't know her very well, but from what he could tell, she was about as sweet a girl as could be found in Hollywood. She'd just graduated from University of Michigan, and she had moved to L.A. hoping to get into PR after grad school. She had met Ryland by happenstance at the dog park, and they'd gotten to chatting. Shane hired her right away, and she figured she'd work for the massively popular YouTuber for a year or so before applying to her choice grad school program at USC. It had been about three months, and everyone in Shane's Squad had fallen in love with the beautiful Midwestern girl.

She flashed Andrew a sweet and genuine smile as she walked in, clutching three Starbucks cups in a drink holder. "Hey Andrew!" she cheered sweetly, walking up and patting him kindly on the shoulder, and he turned around to smile at her, leaning his lanky body against the kitchen counter. Y/N was so attractive that she sometimes made Andrew nervous, especially given that she was Shane's assistant and he wouldn't ever want to make her uncomfortable or flirt with her too much. She was younger than most of the girls he'd been interested in, but she was wise beyond her years, kind and nurturing and good at taking care of everyone, and the way she smiled at him made his heart jump out of his chest.

"I brought you Starbucks!" She exclaimed, grinning at him kindly. "Venti caramel iced coffee with 2% milk, right?" she asked, handing him the cup, and he raised his eyebrows. "Yeah, how did you know?" He asked her incredulously, and she laughed, shaking her head a little. "Andrew, I'm Shane's assistant, I'm supposed to know what you guys like," she said with a cute giggle, and he blushed, looking down at his feet. "Naw, not me," he said shyly. "You don't have to do stuff for me, Y/N," he added with a timid grin. Y/N rolled her eyes playfully at the redhead, always charmed by how cute and shy he was. "I like doing stuff for you. We all know you're 51% of the Shane channel," she teased with a wink, and he blushed harder. "Well, thank you. That's really sweet," Andrew said shyly.
