"How much did you pack, Y/N?" Andrew asked, poking his head out the window of his gray Toyota Camry, the sensible car he'd bought himself after his college graduation, right before he moved to Los Angeles. He peered out the window at his best friend as she stood with her hands on her hips, exhausted from dragging her enormous suitcase down the stairs of her apartment complex. She rolled her eyes slightly at the red-head, and he laughed and shook his head. "You know, a proper gentleman would help me with the bag, not just make fun of me from the driver's seat," the pretty sandy-haired girl said with a sigh. Andrew let out a famous chuckle and hopped quickly out of the car, rushing to her side with a grin. "You should have told me, obviously I would have come up there to help you," he said to her with a giggle, and she couldn't help but smile when he flashed her his adorable grin. She watched as he loaded her bag into the trunk and then she slid into the front seat, ready to head off to Shane's for another adventure.

"So where exactly are we going again?" Y/N asked her ginger friend curiously as he pulled onto the freeway, headed for Shane's house. "Nope, can't tell you, the Queen swore me to secrecy," Andrew said. "You know I can't break that code." Y/N turned to face Andrew, shooting him her saddest puppy dog eyes. "You can't even tell me Gingerbread?" she asked, using her sweet nickname she'd given her pal years ago when they first became friends. He let out a chuckle, grinning at her. "No fair, you know those eyes can make me do anything," Andrew said with a sigh.

Y/N was the very first new friend Andrew had made when he moved to L.A. She had just graduated from USC and she had started her job at digital marketing firm. At the time, she was dating Alex Ernst, the Vlog Squad member and David Dobrik best friend, and Andrew knew Alex from Vine. They hung out in the same friend group and became platonic best friends, and Andrew watched as she and Alex broke up and got back together about 100 times before they finally parted ways for good. Andrew adored her, having always thought she was the sweetest and most beautiful girl he'd ever met. But he'd been friend-zoned long ago, and despite all of his friends' constant comments about her, he'd never made a move on her, sure she didn't think of him as anything other than a dorky best friend.

Shane had come up with the brilliant idea to go to Key West on one of the Squad's travel vlogs. After he and Andrew had worked on the Jeffree series and various conspiracy videos, he felt it was time they did something carefree and light, and Andrew couldn't agree more. The guys needed a break, and a trip to the beach with the Squad seemed like the perfect chance to get some good footage while also taking a vacation. Shane had begged Andrew to invite Y/N on the trip, as the YouTuber loved Andrew's beautiful bestie and the dynamic she brought to the Squad. Every time she hung out with the group, something fun happened and Shane figured she'd bring some excitement to the trip. Andrew was happy to get the time to spend with her, even if it meant having to put up with Shane and Garrett's constant teasing about her.

"Alright, Y/N, I'll tell you where we're going, but you can't tell Shane OK?" Andrew told her, knowing how excited she'd be and wanting to be the one to tell her the plans and see her reaction. She grinned at him, her blue eyes sparkling, and she leaned in a bit excitedly. "I promise, Andrew, I won't tell him. Where are we going? Is it Orlando? Ooh, New York? Hawaii??" She fired off the possibilities to him without even taking a breath, and he let out one of his famous cackles before clearing his throat. "Do you want me to tell you or not?" he asked with a laugh. "Yes! Tell me!!" she said, giving him the cutest smile. "We're going to... Key West!" Andrew said, excited to see her reaction, and she shrieked, clapping her hands together with joy. "Really Andy, Key West??" she gasped, leaning over to grab him in a side-hug as he drove along. "I'm so happy, thank you for inviting me!" He smiled to himself, knowing how thrilled she was. Y/N loved Key West, having always vacationed there with her family as a child, and Andrew was selfishly excited to see it with her.
