CHAPTER 19

Eunmi cannot understand what he was saying, she let it pass thinking Kyungsoo made a common slip of the tongue. How can she think straight if this man is continuously staring at her like looking thru her soul?

And her uncontrollable damned heart, is beating so furiously! She is falling for the charms of the man.

Couples everywhere started joining them for the dance. Sonbi, with Yeol, gave her a wink as they passed them. Same thing with Baekhyun who slightly nudged Kyungsoo at his side whilst holding Rena's hand. Jongdae and Gayeong were already dancing on one corner, though he nodded at Eunmi as their eyes met. Eunmi saw her cousin Sehun also dancing with Yeji joined by her brother and sister-in-law.

Then the soft music changed into a dance song.

After some time, Eunmi cannot take the heat anymore, coupled with her breath literally taken away by Kyungsoo. She asked for them to rest for a few moments just to have a drink and to calm her racing heart.

The gentleman he is, Kyungsoo told her he will get their drinks and bring it to their table. He came back after a few minutes. They are just watching the people dancing whilst drinking when a man in his early sixties approached them to where they were seated.

Kyungsoo stood up to greet his father.

"Son, I need to go back to the mansion now. I don't think this old man can carry whatever you, young ones, are doing there." Senior Do motioned to the dancefloor.

"Dad, you're not that old." Kyungsoo laughed.

Eunmi smiled behind them as she stood up as well. She can see how Kyungsoo will look like when he grows old.

"So, who is the pretty lady behind you?" asked Kyungsoo's father.

"I'm sorry. Dad, this is Ms. Cha Eunmi. Eunmi, this is my father, Do Jungwon. He is usually called by his English name, Edward." Kyungsoo motioned Eunmi to come near him.

"It's a pleasure meeting you, sir." Eunmi extended her hand.

"My, my, what a quite catch! I think many men have been lining up in your house just to meet you. Please call me Daddy Edward, dear." he said as he kissed the back of Eunmi's hand.

Eunmi blushed at the comment and found Kyungsoo's father graciously charming. "I doubt that, D-Daddy Edward." It was embarrassing for her upon addressing him.

"They are foolishly blind, my dear." He then continued, "Or perhaps my son already won your heart?" he said with his eyes twinkling.

Eunmi blushed so hard and got tongue-tied with what Daddy Edward has said. Kyungsoo on the other hand, scratched the back of his head.

"I see. Forgive my son here if he is a bit slow." He mischievously stated.

"Dad, you are ruining my approach!" Kyungsoo mouthed.

Daddy Edward just laughed heartily, "I am just helping you here."

Kyungsoo just shook his head.

Eunmi can't help but get amused whilst looking back and forth to the father and son in front of her.

"Son, invite her some time to have lunch with us at the mansion. But for now, I have to leave both of you, I can see my driver waiting for me. Please bade my farewell to the newlyweds and your friends. I'll be seeing you again, Eunmi dear." Daddy Edward walked off to his chauffeur standing by the hotel's back entrance.

"Take care and goodnight." she said.

They watched him leave.

"Your dad is a very charming man." Eunmi looked up to Kyungsoo.

"I guess he is." surprised that his father liked Eunmi and even asked her to call him 'Daddy'. "But he hates the media."

"He can't help it, the same goes for you. They always follow you wherever you go."

"It's one of my flaws, a hazard of being the president of a multicorporation. So you KNEW me!" Kyungsoo emphasized as he look at Eunmi enquiringly.

"You're quite popular. You always grace the cover of entertainment and business sections of every magazines and newspapers in this country. I wouldn't be surprised if I found you in one of the international newspapers." Eunmi explained.

"I didn't know that you're a fan." Kyungsoo teased.

Eunmi pouted, "Excuse me, mister, but I worked in an advertising agency. Knowing people like you is one of my business."

"I know. I'm just kidding." Kyungsoo laughed as Eunmi glared and crossed her arms. He actually finds her very cute.

Eunmi has no idea that she will be this comfortable with him quickly, he barely knew him that much. She has not been at ease to any men other than Jongdae, Yeol, Jongin, Baekhyun and her cousins.

"But you know, I didn't recognize you at first when I last saw you at a hotel." Eunmi was talking whilst playing with her bouquet. "Come to think of it, I was having a splitting headache at that time maybe that's why I didn't recognize you."

Kyungsoo stiffened, his jaw clenched with what Eunmi have said. 'It's now or never.' he said to himself.

"Listen Eunmi, about--"

"Kyungsoo, Eunmi!" Baekhyun called. "Jongin and Hemi were looking for you guys, they are going to leave now."

Kyungsoo sighed as his words were cut. Eunmi started walking towards the newlyweds with Kyungsoo following her closely behind.

'Maybe later.' he thought.

The newlyweds bade their goodbyes to everybody as they approached their limousine that would take them to their pad. They will just quickly change and grab their luggage then proceed to the airport and board a private jet plane, courtesy of Kyungsoo. Their month-long honeymoon is in the Bahamas.

Sonbi and Eunmi hugged Hemi as they wished them luck. They also hugged her husband and told him to look after Hemi carefully. In return, Jongin hugged them as well and did the same thing to his best mates. Everybody congratulating and wishing them the best, waved at the couple as their limousine departed the venue.
