Chapter 62

CHAPTER 62

Kyungsoo is again in his pad crying alone whilst drowning himself with alcohol. He is terribly missing Eunmi-ah, hoping she and their baby are alright.

It has been weeks since Kyungsoo has last seen his wife. There was not a single day that he searched for her, and when he comes back not finding Eunmi he will end up drinking to numb his pain till he falls asleep.

He looked for her everywhere but he could not find her. Going back to places he knew she frequently visited, even to the orphanage and the women centre, but no luck. He knew his friends are helping in looking for Eunmi as well.

He went to Eunmi's parents the next day he found out she had left to check if she was there but wasn't. He did not tell them the truth to avoid alarming them for it seems they knew nothing. Not that he was afraid of them but he does not want them to worry.

He has spoken with his brother-in-law and Eunmi's cousins, asking them where is his wife. Kyungsoo can tell that they knew. He repeatedly went to see them and begged but they were always responding to him his wife will come back once she is ready. They are not angry but just asked him to give her some time.

Xiumin told him they are respecting Eunmi's decision of not wanting to let him know where she is. But he reassured him she and the baby are well.

Actually Xiumin is afraid that if he broke his promise to his sister, Eunmi will disappear from all of them. So he promised Kyungsoo, he will update him every now and then of her situation.

Words are not enough to pacify him. He needs to see his wife with his own eyes so he hired private detectives again to find her. He is very worried of Eunmi and their baby.

But will he be calm after knowing where Eunmi is? Definitely not! He wants her next to him. Every minute and every second passing by without her makes him feel like he is slowly dying inside.

He has neglected his work, he has not been coming to the office. His bestfriends are very worried but covered for him. He has not been going in the hospital to see his father either.

Kyungsoo is in a total mess. Once drunk, he will pathetically call Eunmi even though her phone is off leaving voicemail, crying whilst talking on the phone until it reaches its peak. Then he will repeteadly dial and do the same thing, over and over again until he passes out from drunkenness.

'Why are you not picking up my calls?'

'I love you, Eunmi-ah.'

'Please come back to me.'

'I'm am very sorry, I did not look after you well, please come back.'

'Don't you love me anymore? Please come back...'

Then he will wake up with a hangover the next day and start looking for her again.

The day Eunmi left was the worst day of his life, he felt it is not even compared when his mother has died. It is still fresh in his mind as he reminisce that painful day whilst drinking liquor.

(Flashback)

He went rushing back to the mansion finding some of her clothes missing and the cards he gave her were in the side table. Eunmi had left everything he had given her behind. He spoke to their housekeeper who told him she saw Eunmi crying whilst loading a suitcase in her car but did not respond when she asked what was the matter. Kyungsoo's heart was crushed upon hearing what Mrs. Hong has said.

He then went immediately to his pad hoping she went back there. It was completely silent when he came in, calling her name whilst opening every door, lastly entering the study room.
