CHAPTER 35

Although Eunmi still knew nothing about the truth, Kyungsoo pushed that thought away as he remembered Dr. Chang's advice and instructions. He does not want Eunmi to get stress and faint again.

Eunmi is only staring at the handsome man in front of him looking lovingly at her. She can see he looked a bit tired but his eyes were alert with every move she is making. She was somewhat embarrassed about it but somehow she continued staring at Kyungsoo like she is under his spell despite her heart continuously fluttering at an erratic speed.

The feelings she actually was trying to forget for this man is still there and she knew in her heart no matter how hard she ignores those, it will not be easy now that Kyungsoo is right in front of her. Those feelings were resurfacing and squeezing out of her system the minute she saw him appeared in their living room.

Snapping back to her senses, Eunmi sat up straight.

This is the time to confront Kyungsoo of all the insanities that he did earlier on, whether his feelings for her were sincerely true or the other way around. She needs to set aside her own feelings, for now, and ascertain Kyungsoo's.

"I'm alright now, Kyungsoo. Uhm, I think you have to explain yourself back then." she started slowly. "Why did you do such thing?" pausing a bit to gather the right words to say.

"I'm honoured, but you don't have to lie. You don't have to promise my parents with a huge responsibility. Besides, I don't want you to sacrifice your reputation." she calmly continued.

Kyungsoo knew this confrontation was inevitable, actually he kind of expected it. He weighed his words first before answering Eunmi's questions.

"Will you believe me if I say that I truly like you? No, no, let me rephrase it for clarity, I do really have fallen in love with you..." sincerity laced on his voice. He held her hands, somewhat pleading her to believe him.

"But, why?"

"I know this seemed cliché Eunmi-ah, but the minute I've laid my eyes on you I started to love you. I don't care if you don't feel the way I do, I'm willing to wait. Just please give me a chance. Whatever I have said in the living room a whilst ago, I meant all of them. Whether you're pregnant or not, I would still continue to pursue you, to court you till you accept me. I'm dreaming of us to be married someday, and now is the chance. I'd like to be your husband if you're willing." It was his sincerest confession.

He knew that he was taking advantage of the situation, being the ROOT cause of her problem. Kyungsoo was praying hard for Eunmi to believe him, because this is his only chance.

Eunmi was dumbfounded at what he has said.

Flattered as she was, still Kyungsoo's confession surprises her. She would like to laugh because it seems their tables have turned but held it within her.

Supposedly, she should be the one proposing to somebody to just accept her despite being pregnant, to save her from public embarrassment though Kyungsoo proved otherwise.

How could there be such a man? She couldn't believe that there is still a noble man walking on this planet willing to sacrifice everything in order to get the woman they love. She thought those men only existed in romance novels and romantic movies.

Is this really true?

Does true love exist? 'Is this my true love?' she thought.

She should be happy that a man, take note an affluent and capable one, is willing to give his name to her unborn child. Eunmi must have done great deeds in her past lives to be this lucky. Not every women who were having the same experience as her weren't this fortunate, like those at the Women Center.

'Wait..' she thought. Eunmi haven't given her approval of marrying him and yet she was thinking about Kyungsoo giving his name to her unborn child. 'Don't jump into conclusions, Eunmi. Ask him.' her mind telling her.

"What about my unborn child? Are you really willing to accept my baby? Think about the consequences really hard, Kyungsoo."

If she is going to jump into this marriage wagon, she needs to learn his feelings about her baby too. She wants her baby to be born in the loving arms of both parents, just like her and her brother. They were fortunate enough to experience the warmth of their parents' love under the safe comfort of their home.

If Kyungsoo hasn't proposed to her, she sworn on herself to do her best to give the utmost love and care for her unborn baby till he or she grew up. Though she won't be able to give the love of a father figure, she'll make sure to give her undivided attention to her child.

Kyungsoo was quick enough to answer whilst holding her hands, "I'm sorry I didn't make it clear for you, Eunmi, but when I said I'm willing to marry you despite your pregnancy, it includes your unborn child. I'm willing to take responsibility for it, to accept him or her, to give him or her my name, and raise and love him or her like what a father should do. Can you accept me as the daddy of your unborn baby?"

Kyungsoo thought he will definitely take responsibility of their baby whether she like it or not.

Eunmi is still quite unsure yet she couldn't helped but shed a tear from what he have said. She was truly happy that this kind of man existed. She bet Kyungsoo will really treat her child as his own.

Eunmi knew its not impossible to love this man though she barely knew him for they haven't dated that long. To put it out to be honest, they only dated once and that date ended disastrously anyways. But his genuine words tugged at her heart and she's falling in love with him.

"Please don't cry...", Kyungsoo gently wiped her tears. If only Eunmi knew that he is really the father of her unborn child. He can't tell her, not yet.

Kyungsoo of course, wouldn't think twice of accepting her baby, THEIR baby. He was really overjoyed Eunmi is carrying his legacy.

If only his dad is awake and well, he won't hesitate to share the good news his father is longing to hear from him. This is what his father had been hoping for ever since their corporation was passed down to him.

"No, I'm alright. I'm just happy..." she gave him a small smile.

Cupping her face, Kyungsoo asked her again, "Can you make my dream come true by marrying me?"

Waiting for her answer is becoming a nerve-wracking task.
