Chapter 32

CHAPTER 32

Everyone who does not know the REAL, real truth were left aghast at his sudden presence. Once again, everybody went still and silent.

"Thank you, Prez!" said Jongdae sighing a breath of relief after some time.

"KIM JONGDAE!" hissed Eunmi with her face turning very red.

She can't believe Jongdae just sold her like that! She felt embarrass about it. She thought Jongdae is sincere enough to help her out but completely fooled by him! She was even thinking a set up for both of them in the future. She wants to beat him up right now!

'What a troll!' thought angrily by Eunmi.

However, she was very much surprised to see Kyungsoo appearing out of the blue and claiming her just like that.

Does that mean he truly likes her?

"What's the meaning of this, Do Kyungsoo?" asked Sonbi.

"Who are you?" asked Mr. Cha authoritively.

"I am Eunmi's boyfriend, sir. My name is Do Kyungsoo." Kyungsoo firmly said then looked at Eunmi, winking at her and giving her a small smile before bowing to Eunmi's parents.

She can only gape at him.

"Is this true, Eunmi?" asked her mother.

Hemi and Sonbi moved to the opposite sofa whilst Kyungsoo sat next to Eunmi holding her hand, squeezing it as if telling her to trust him and leave everything to him.

Jongin then also sat next to Hemi, whilst Yeol did the same to her fiancée.

Sonbi can only smile and thought happily, 'A real knight saving a damsel in distress.'

Hemi looked ecstatic as well.

Seeing Eunmi still surprised at the sudden turn of events, Sonbi helped her out, "Yes Auntie, he is. They've been going out."

Though, she did not mention the time frame of them dating together to avoid further suspicion from Eunmi's parents. Whatever Kyungsoo's reason for his announcement, she is thankful of him. She only prayed and hoped Kyungsoo really love Eunmi, the reason why he is here right now and is willing to sacrifice his big name and reputation.

They will need to confront him about this once they were all alone though.

Jongdae interjected, "Uncle, Auntie, he owns the company where I am working. He is my boss, and also of Hemi's husband."

"He is the President of Do MultiCorp., Uncle." Yeol added, looking at Mr. Cha. He also knew how strict Eunmi's parents, having met them many times in the past.

"Why did you just come forward now, young man?" accused Mr. Cha, despite being surprised from the information he heard.

"My father collapsed and had to undergo an operation on the same day we learned that Eunmi was pregnant, sir. It was a bit hectic especially now he fell into coma. But I really did plan for us to get married." explained Kyungsoo.

Eunmi didn't know about this new information of Kyungsoo's father's condition. How can she when she is too caught up with her own problems.

"I'm sorry to hear that." said Eunmi's father.

"How is Daddy Edward now?" asked Eunmi. Even though Eunmi does not know Kyungsoo's intention why he did such thing, she cannot help but be worried at his father as well. That is always been her nature.

Mrs. Cha's eyebrows rose upon hearing her daughter address the young man's father.

"Thank you, sir. It's a relief knowing he is stable, Eunmi-ah, but the doctors don't know when he will wake up. He had an arrest during the operation which turned out successful eventually, that's why he fell into a coma."

Kyungsoo then stood up and looked at Eunmi's parents, bowed 90 degrees and sincerely asked, "Please give us your blessings to let us get married."

Eunmi is really speechless. Her parents went completely silent at the sight of him bowing to them.

Mr. Cha broke his silence, "What about your mother, does she approve of our daughter?"

"My mother has already passed a long time ago, sir." Kyungsoo said, still bowing.

"Stand up now. Well, I guess you can call us Mom and Dad, Kyungsoo, now that you are going to be part of the family." Mr. Cha said.

"Thank you, D-dad." Kyungsoo felt relieved.

"And you, Cha Eunmi!" Mr. Cha pointed at her daughter, "Why did you deny your boyfriend earlier on when we asked you?"

"But-"

Kyungsoo broke her words. "It is true that she doesn't know anything because she was drunk at that time, Dad." Kyungsoo bravely said, it was half of the truth.

"Wa-"

Again, Kyungsoo cut her, returning to sit next to Eunmi and squeezing her hand. "I am sorry that I was not able to control myself, nevertheless I'll make sure we will get married the soonest possible. Though my father is not awake yet, I'm sure he will understand, or we could get married again once he has recovered. Before he collapsed yesterday, he already told me to get married with Eunmi."

Kyungsoo knew he is taking advantage of the situation to dictate what he ultimately wants: to marry Eunmi no matter what.

He's very happy that his wish will come true in the end. He knew he is kind of lying to her for he did not divulged everything. But this is the only way he can think of at the moment whether Eunmi will hate him in the end or not, let the future reveal itself.

Kyungsoo promised himself he will tell her the truth once everything is in order, for now he will let Eunmi think that he is saving her. Although, a small part of him is branding himself a selfish and deceitful man.

"Alright, everything is settled then." said his future father-in-law, who was happy upon hearing his words.

Eunmi's mother calmed down as well but remained a bit apprehensive. Though Mrs. Cha was quite happy, probably thinking at least this man in front of them is willing to marry her daughter, she seemed to worry about Eunmi getting married to a wealthy family. She is also skeptical on why her daughter did not tell them about her boyfriend.

Kyungsoo smiled at Eunmi, sending her the message that everything will be alright. Eunmi's mind was in turmoil for she has thousands of question he wanted to ask Kyungsoo but she kept her silence. She will do that once her parents were not around. She is truly grateful of Kyungsoo for saving her after that disastrous and pathetic attempt from Jongdae.

Speaking of which, she can kill him right now! Definitely, that man will hear from her and is deserving to be beaten. Just wait and see, she will get the girls beat the living out of him.

But wait, she has not agreed to marry Kyungsoo yet?!

Seeing Kyungsoo talking to her parents about the details of their 'upcoming' wedding whilst their friends suggested some inputs, she cannot help but wonder Kyungsoo's intentions.

'Why? What is his reason for doing this? Doesn't he know the implication of sacrificing his name? What will people say if they learned about the truth? What will his father say when he has woken up from his coma and learned about his son's drastic decision?'

All of these questions were making her dizzy, and she wants to escape from it.

Eunmi excused herself from the discussing group stating she needed a drink but to really get away to clear her mind and catch her breath because she felt suffocated.

As she walked towards the kitchen, she felt her surroundings starting to spin. Knees trembling, her vision darkened as she mentally said, 'Not again'.

For the second time, Eunmi fainted to the surprise of everybody.
