CHAPTER 36

"Aren't you going to ask me who is the father? Or how did I end up being pregnant?" Eunmi asked.

"Let's not discuss about that. I don't want you to get stress anymore. Although I'm thankful because if it weren't for him, I won't have this chance. So, are you willing to accept me?" Kyungsoo asked her again.

'LIAR' shouted his mind.

Eunmi is thankful with Kyungsoo's answer. Practically, the topic makes her head hurt thinking who impregnated her, at the same time she doesn't want to relive that 'night'. She now realized it was embarrassing and the fact that, she is partly to blame for losing herself on a complete stranger. Although still that 'stranger' have no right to take advantage of her that way.

"I really don't know... Everything is so sudden. I didn't know my life will be this chaotic. The other day, my life was stable and serene, then yesterday I found out I am pregnant which I am completely unaware of. And today, I'm being proposed at." Eunmi softly answered whilst looking at his eyes.

Kyungsoo just patiently waited for her to say what is in her heart and mind. He totally understands how she is feeling. He is guilty of turning her life upside down.

"I guess the only answer is yes."

Did he hear her right?

Kyungsoo's face lit up and broke into a huge smile. He kissed Eunmi surprising her then hug her tight. "Thank you, thank you! You always makes me happy, Eunmi!"

"Kyu-Kyungsoo, I... can't breathe!" she whimpered trying to free from his bone-breaking embrace.

Kyungsoo immediately release her, "Sorry, sorry honey, are you alright? Is the baby alright?" fear is evident on his voice.

"The baby is alright. But, honey???" she smiled teasing him.

"Yes, you are my honey. You don't like it?" giving her a cute pout while staring.

"I- uh, I'm fine with it. But I need to get use to it, if you don't mind." Eunmi shyly said.

Although Kyungsoo's endearment of her made her joyful, it's also making her self-conscious but not in unbearable way.

Imagine going to get married soon to a person you've only known for a couple of days, how does it feels? What does she needs to feel? How is she going to react? It is really mind boggling! It's truly a roller coaster ride of Eunmi's life the past few days.

As she recalls some passage from her favourite writer, problems appear to be relative. If you have a big one, it makes all the others seem almost charming in comparison. When your life takes a path you could never have foreseen, it's humbling. In a good way, it's kind of like a friendly reminder from the heavens that while you may think you have the starring role in the movie of your life, you're actually just a bit player trying to grab a piece of bread off the food table when no one's looking.

Yup, her once peaceful life has became unpredictable in the shortest span of time. Eunmi hoped this is just temporary and that God is not punishing her for any mistakes she might have done in her life.

Perhaps this is the next stage of her life presented to her and she should just embrace it. She just have to go on with the flow.

Her mind came back to the man in front of her.

Eunmi couldn't still believe this man loves her. She knew she is not that beautiful like his past girlfriends, somehow she felt proud of herself. She smiled sweetly while looking at Kyungsoo pouting.

Eunmi can helped it but pinched his nose lightly. "Stop acting like a child, you handsome."

Kyungsoo caught her hand and kiss it. Eunmi felt again the so-familiar tingling sensation travelling down her stomach wondering if some butterflies actually lived there. Maybe Kyungsoo felt the same way as his face come closer to her.

"Just promise me one thing, Kyungsoo." she said whilst looking deeply through his eyes.

"Hmmm."

"Don't break my heart."

"I won't." Kyungsoo responded as he lowered his face to claim her soft lips.

Unfortunately before their kiss deepens, a knock was heard interrupting them followed by opening of the door.

"There will be plenty of time the two of you can kiss during your honeymoon, but the food is now ready." Sonbi bounced inside the room making the couple separate and Eunmi blushed furiously.

Kyungsoo did not let go of Eunmi's hand.

"Ryu Sonbi!!!" reprimanded Hemi, glaring at her.

"What?! Eunmi needs to eat for the baby. She haven't eaten yet since lunchtime!" Sonbi said looking incredulously at Hemi like she's talking lunacy.

"Sorry for interrupting but we can wait for some time till you finished talking." Hemi apologetically said.

"Thank you. We're done talking, we'll come out in a minute." Kyungsoo said whilst Hemi nodded.

She pulled Sonbi out and closed the door again.

Eunmi giggled once her bestfriends were out of sight. Kyungsoo also laughed with her.

"Are they always like that? Barging in and out anytime?" Kyungsoo was not able to hide his regret at their interruption.

"Of course! This is our house and I do that on them as well. I'm used to it, you should be as well." Eunmi chuckled.

"Great." Kyungsoo sighed. Eunmi found him so pathetically cute so she leaned closer to give him a peck on his cheeks. "Don't sulk anymore, my sisters were just concerning after me. And mind you I'm really hungry now."

Just then, Kyungsoo's stomach growled in response, earning him a hearty laugh from Eunmi making him chortle as well.

"I guess you feel the same way, probably more than I do hahaha!" laughed Eunmi.

"Excuse me, I haven't also eaten since last night as well. I was too busy worrying about you and Dad that I have forgotten about food. Come to think of it, this is the first time I've ignored food. Hmm, that's something new..." he vaguely said as he helped Eunmi up from the bed.

That's an actual fact, in reality Kyungsoo would never ignored food more so forgotten about it if he wasn't that distracted. Food is the only vice he's addicted into.

Suddenly remembering the meeting he had with Uncle Jongro that morning which was one of the reasons why he has forgotten about food.

'That must be kept a secret to Eunmi, otherwise my plans will be ruined.' Kyungsoo thought.
