Chapter 59

CHAPTER 59

-Meanwhile-

Eunmi went to her husband's pad in order to retrieve a file that Kyungsoo has asked her to get. Well she volunteered since the place was close to where she will be coming from after work.

Eunmi knew the place so well, it is not her first time in this unit. She will at times fetch her husband at work if she knew he is working overtime and Kyungsoo will decide to stay in this pad if it's already too late for them to go home to the mansion.

Her sweet husband is worrying she will get too tired with their constant travelling now that she is nearing her third trimester. He has been asking her to stop working.

Anyways, they have some clothes in here and the place is well stock with food so it is not a problem if they do stay over.

She was actually excited because her husband suddenly wanted them to go to Jeju over the weekend, stating they need to unwind particularly himself after few gruelling weeks of work.

Unbeknownst to Eunmi, Kyungsoo has planned this in order to tell Eunmi the truth about her pregnancy. After the talk with his buddies and Jongin revelation, he contemplated he needed to act fast before carnage happens, like what Baekhyun said. Kyungsoo is just hoping the outcome will be leaning more on the positive side. Then he will be relieved, only Daddy Edward to worry about.

Eunmi went straight to the study to look for the said file. She did not need to look longer as she saw it on top of the desk right away. She picked this up however a smaller folder underneath fell to the floor.

Eunmi picked the fallen file, with some difficulty due to her grown tummy, and opened it to see if it is a part of what her husband asked her to retrieve. She was about to call Kyungsoo, when she saw it was a will and testament.

She was about to close the file but something caught her eyes close to the bottom page. She knew it is wrong to read it as it did not belong to her but curiosity overtook her.

"I, Do Jungwon, will give my one and only son Do Kyungsoo my entire fortune, assets and properties as listed below, and hand my corporation's chairmanship if anything happens to me unless my aforementioned son marries and bore a child within one year from the time he reads this will. After a year and the condition was not met by my son, he shall only inherit my mansion and a certain amount as indicated below..."

Eunmi did not finish reading anymore as she felt ringing in her ears. She can feel her knees trembling and her hands shaking holding on to the desk for support.

She looked again at the document to check the date.

'More than seven months ago.'

The will was drafted a little over a month before she found out that she was pregnant.

Eunmi's body felt like cold water ran down on her as soon as realization hit her. She can feel her eyes getting blurry from tears that wanting to fall.

Inhaling and exhaling whilst controlling herself from crying, she closed the file and left it at the desk. She started walking out of the study and out of the unit as she felt suffocated. Her mind has loads of questions at the moment.

As soon as she entered her car, Eunmi burst into tears covering her mouth. She can't believe Do Kyungsoo, her husband, was lying to her all along. She thought he truly loves her and cares for her unborn child. She was mistaken.

The whole charade was all for the will!

She is the answer to his problems in order not to lose his inheritance.

What a load of bullshit!

She is right, all rich people are the same! They only wanted their money protected.

She did not see this coming from him!

Eunmi thought of calling her bestfriends but contemplated against it. Tears continuously falling from her eyes despite trying to stop herself from crying. She does not want to be pitied, she does not deserve such. Her bestfriends are busy with their own lives and they already had given her enough help since meeting Kyungsoo. It's about time that she stood on her own this time and solve this problem.

She genuinely fell in love with Kyungsoo over the short months since they got married.

Her heart was shattered, it hurts her so much. She thinks all of the things Kyungsoo did for her, all of his actions and all of his words. Those were all but just lies!

Now she get it why Kyungsoo is so concern about her pregnancy. Now she understood why he wanted them to get married right away. Now she knew why he is always worrying about her. Now she fucking knew!

It was all for a show for that damned will!

It was all for the sake of his money!

She was about to curse Kyungsoo in her head but stopped instead cradled her baby bump whilst apologising to her unborn child. She vows Kyungsoo will not use her child to become his ticket for his inheritance.

Eunmi felt as if something in her chest was pressing and squeezing her heart. The pain was so unbearable she thought her world has crashed.

Eunmi stayed in her car for God knows how long until she decided on what to do.

After making up her mind, she drove out of the car park to Do MultiCorp. She made sure she looked alright before walking to the reception to give the file otherwise his employees may think something is wrong.

Prior learning about the will, she planned to wait for Kyungsoo to finish his work to ensure he does not come home late again, like he usually does recently because of another company acquisition they are working on.

But that will not happen anymore. She knew in herself that she cannot bear to see him and she will not be able to continue on her plans if she sees him. Her heart is still yearning for him but enough is enough.

She has to go and live her life far away from him.

She still owes him for trying to save her face by marrying her due to her pregnancy. It is a marriage for convenience after all. She will continue to be married to him until he gets his inheritance that is rightfully his, she will make sure of that. It is her payment for saving her face.

Then she will divorce him.

Eunmi turned off her mobile phone as she left the building and drove away whilst tears kept falling on her face.
