Chapter 54

CHAPTER 54

It is girl's day out today.

The three bestfriends including Rena were dining out for lunch when Eunmi started the conversation.

"I think it is time to investigate my case. I would really like to know what happened to me." Eunmi said.

"We're just waiting for you anyways." Sonbi responded.

"Thank you. I do not want our men to know about this anyways particularly my husband but if in case we need help maybe it is safe to ask them unless necessary. However, Kyungsoo must never know please."

"Why is that?" enquired Sonbi.

"I tried bringing it up to my husband couple of times but he is just dismissing it. It's always the same, telling me it will be too stressful for me which will affect our baby. But I am suspecting he is doing something about it behind my back but will never tell me anything, maybe he will tell me after I gave birth, not sure." explained lengthy by Eunmi.

"Understandable." agreed by Rena as she nods her head.

"Knowing me, ladies, you know I can't sit still and wait that long until this mystery is solved." Eunmi continued.

"We can ask my husband to find an investigator for us, he will know someone for sure since he is pretty well-connected." Hemi suggested. "No worries, I will ask him to keep it secret from Kyungsoo." she continued as soon as she saw the wariness in Eunmi's eyes.

"Will he be able to do so? I mean he is still my husband's bestfriend." asked Eunmi worriedly.

"In that case, I will tell him a different story." reassured Hemi.

"I will also not tell Baekhyun about this, Eunmi-ah, do not worry. Is there anything I can do to help?" Rena asked.

"Keeping it from Baekhyun is more than enough, Rena." Eunmi responded.

Rena nodded, "Alright but if you are not able to get a private detective, I can suggest someone."

"Where do we start?" asked Hemi.

"Maybe from the hotel." responded Eumi.

"Yeolie knows the general manager of the Marriot Hotel where Hemi-ah's bridal shower was held. Maybe we can ask him to speak with his friend and get the CCTV from that night. That will be our start." Sonbi said to them.

Hemi held Eunmi's hand as she can see and feel her anxiety over the things they will need to do.

"Everything will be alright, Eunmi-ah. Don't worry too much." Hemi soothingly said to her.

"Don't you stress my godchild now!" Followed by Sonbi. "But what are you planning to do once you learned the truth?"

Eunmi smiled, both of her bestfriends already volunteered to be godmothers of her unborn child.

"I am really grateful that I've got all of you otherwise I do not think I will have the strength to do this." Eunmi sincerely said. "That bastard needs to pay for what he did to me. He needs to rot in jail in order to keep other women safe. For all we know, he might be a serial rapist or something and it might not be his first time doing it." she steely said.

Her besties all nodded.

Actually, Eunmi is not that strong with her conviction that the 'rapist' is actually a bad person. Her feelings are 50-50. She has been contemplating about the mystery surrounding her pregnancy maybe a thousand times already.

She was questioning why did the bastard order a room service if his intention is only to take advantage of her. What about the aspirins? Granted he must knew she was drunk, did he expect she will be having a headache once she wakes up? Did the person care for her and felt sorry hence the room service and aspirin? Or was it remorse?

Things just does not add up. She has guessed as well that the bastard is rich otherwise he won't be able to afford such a nice room and a room service. The rooms at Marriott Hotel are quite pricey.

Furthermore, until now Eunmi is questioning herself why does she not feel violated or scared about it. Was it because she is already married and felt safe and secure with her capable husband, who she knew will protect and shield her from anything unpleasant from life? But she really wanted to unravel the mystery surrounding her pregnancy to answer all of these questions in her head and also to have closure.

"But I will never let him know my condition. He does not have anything to do with my baby. Kyungsoo is already my baby's father and it will stay that way forever." Eunmi continued on as she placed one hand on her baby bump.

Sonbi and Hemi saw the determination in her face.

"Everything will be alright, Eunmi. We will all go through this with you together." ended Sonbi.

That night Sonbi spoke with Yeol regarding their plans and asked him if he can get the CCTV footage from Marriot Hotel of the night in question. Yeol assured her that she will do his best to get it being good friends with the the hotel's general manager.

Yeol contacted his friend right away and asked if they can meet up as soon as possible in which his friend gladly accepted since they have not hang out for some time. They have been friends since university days anyways because of Yeol's friendly and warm personality. Yeol can easily befriend anybody, he is known for that.

After speaking to his friend, Yeol told Sonbi about this.

"Sweetie, we're going to meet tomorrow night. Do you want to come?" Yeol asked Sonbi.

Sonbi hugged Yeol, "Is it ok? I mean he might want to hang out with you, perhaps with your other alumni as well."

"No worries, he will agree to it I know. We could then formally invite him to our wedding, what do you think?"

"Yeah, that would be fine. By the way, please swear that you will never tell Kyungsoo about this, ok?"

Sonbi knows that the boys do get together at times no matter how busy each one of them are.

"Why is that?" asked Yeol with a frown.

"Eunmi-ah asked this as a favour. I guess she does not want him to get worried or anything. You know her, she wants to do things by herself as much as she can without asking anybody's help most of the time."

"But Kyungsoo is far more efficient to help her solve this."

"I know but she thinks this is her personal agenda."

"Hmm. Well that is her decision, but still." Yeol contemplated on then nodded after a few moments. "You know what, I think my friend can bend some rules and show us the guest list on the room where Eunmi has slept after we confirmed it from the CCTV video. That way, your investigation will be more fruitful I reckon."

"That is a good idea! Oh Sweetie, thanks for the tip, for understanding and doing this!" said Sonbi giving him a peck on his plump lips.

"Anything for my Sweetie." responded Yeol indulging more on kissing her.

Yeol lifted her up from the couch where they are both seated without breaking their kiss making Sonbi drape her arms into his neck. He then let themselves fell in the bed making her squeal.

Let's just say, both need to have their own privacy and should not be disturbed.
