Chapter 63

CHAPTER 63

Baekhyun was talking to Jongin and Jongdae after the executive meeting they had to finalise taking over a company they have been working on for the last quarter of the year. Though Kyungsoo was not around, he had given them enough instructions to proceed with the acquisition. The transactions and processes are smoothly running so it is not a problem at the moment.

They all decided to visit Kyungsoo after Baekhyun had spoken with Yeol over the phone who has requested it. They all knew Kyungsoo is having a difficult time at the moment because of Eunmi. It is time to speak with him.

Yeol said over the phone that he will pick them all up from Do MultiCorp.

The four men arrived at Kyungsoo's place and went up to his pad bringing some alcohol and food.

They were surprised when the door was opened by Sehun.

"Oh, you are here?" asked Jongdae hugging and patting him on the back.

"Yes, hyung. I'm with Xiumin hyung and Suho hyung to visit Kyungsoo hyung and help him with noona."

"It's been awhile, Sehunnie." said Baekhyun hugging and patting him on the back as well.

This was followed by Jongin and Yeol doing the same thing as well.

They proceeded to the lounge where they all saw Xiumin and Suho clearing up the several bottles of beer, wine and spirits, and ramen cups and snacks littering the area.

"Hey guys!" greeted warmly by Xiumin, stopping momentarily what he is doing.

"Suho hyung!" called Jongdae hugging Suho happily.

The newly arrived men saw Kyungsoo seated at the sofa, his head perched back staring at the ceiling. He did not show any inclination his best pals had arrived to visit him. He is out in his own mind.

"By the way, this is Junmyeon, my cousin, Sehunnie's older brother. He has recently been discharged from the military." introduced Xiumin to Suho to Baekhyun, Yeol and Jongin.

One by one put down what they have brought on the centre table, bowed to him and gave a handshake to Junmyeon.

"Just call me Suho." he said. "I was born in year 1991."

"Hyungs, we are trying to keep Kyungsoo hyung sober, why bring more alcohol?" Sehun shook his head upon seeing what they have brought. Nevertheless, he removed them from the plastic and set it on the table whilst Xiumin and the rest continued clearing the empty bottles and rubbish.

"We didn't know, Maknae, that Kyungsoo has been drinking already." Yeol said.

Once they finished clearing up the place, they all sat down where Kyungsoo was circling around him.

It has been months since they all got together like this. Hanging out before was fun for all of them but the atmosphere at the moment is different.

His best pals can't believe Kyungsoo was in this mess. He is the most composed person of them all and they were saddened by what they saw. He rarely showed this side of him to anyone. It looks like he hasn't showered or combed his hair for days.

"Kyungsoo-ah, how are you doing?" Jongin tentatively asked him.

No response.

"Buddy, it is not the end of the world. You better shape up and come back to the living." Baekhyun said.

Still no response from Kyungsoo.

"The reason we came down here is we want to tell you where my sister is so you can come and see her and end this misery." Xiumin said next.

Xiumin hyung statement gets a response from Kyungsoo but he did not move.

"I already knew where she is."

His statement didn't surprise them at all. Well, his best pals knew him, he will not stop until he knew. He did this before when looking for her after he had slept with Eunmi unknowingly.

"You already know where she is but how come you are still here?" Jongdae asked.

Kyungsoo sat up straight and responded, "Her phone is still switched off, which means she is still angry at me."

"You don't know that, Kyungsoo-ah." Yeol said.

"When I last talked to her, I can tell she misses you." Suho said.

"Hyung, look at this." Sehun showed his phone to Kyungsoo.

Kyungsoo took the phone and saw Eunmi's photo. She looks like she was in the beach but her face was looking sad. His wife is still beautiful but her eyes seemed it lost the sparkle in them.

All of the guys saw how eager he became when he saw his wife's photo but immediately replaced with sadness as he stared on it. They could tell he was about to cry.

Some of them shook their heads, whilst looking at each other. The others just open a can of beer and drank from it.

'Man, Kyungsoo is totally whipped by his wife!' Baekhyun thought whilst drinking his beer.

"Here, drink this Hyung." said Sehun giving him a beer and taking his phone back from Kyungsoo's hand.

"What were you saying about keeping him sober?!" Jongin asked the maknae.

"What?! He is about to cry! What do you want us to do?" defended Sehun.

"Quit it!" admonished Suho. "Kyungsoo-ah, please listen to us. We want to help you but we want to know your thoughts. Xiumin hyung, myself and Sehunnie have all spoken to her and advise her to come back and speak to you. We think she is thinking about it. You need to do your part now."

"We do believe in you, Kyungsoo-ah. We know that you love Eunmi-ah very much and that you will not lose her." Jongdae said.

"There are some mistakes along the way but you now need to correct that by talking to her personally, no matter what." Jongin said.

"So it's a lesson learnt, not just for Kyungsoo-ah but for all of us too, guys. Be truthful to your lady love at all times. So beware!" Baekhyun said whilst rubbing both of his hands.

Xiumin and Suho laughed and shook their heads at Baekhyun's silliness.

"Another reason we came here is to tell you the girls managed to speak with her already. They visited Eunmi and Sonbi told me she is much more calmer now. She was not angry after they had explained to her everything." Yeol told Kyungsoo.

Kyungsoo looked at Yeol as he was speaking.

"I've actually decided to see my wife myself tomorrow even before you all came." Kyungsoo said.

"Way to go, bro! That's more like it!" Baekhyun said patting Kyungsoo on the back.

"Cheers!" said Jongdae, toasting his can of beer to everyone and everybody followed even Kyungsoo.

Kyungsoo smiled. It's his first after a long while. Being with his friends definitely lifted his spirits, and he cannot thank them enough. He admit to himself, seeing the presence of his friends in front of him gave him confidence and reassurance that everything will be alright.

They all continued to drink whilst giving encouragement to Kyungsoo. After some time, Kyungsoo spoke.

"Thank you. Minseok hyung, Suho hyung, Sehunnie, thank you for not getting angry and being patient with me. Suho hyung, you don't know me that much but you believed in me, thank you." Kyungsoo emotionally said. "Yedera, thank you for all your support, the hard work you've done for the corporation, I can't do it without you guys. Yeolie, thank you for checking up on me all the time. I love you all." Kyungsoo was tearing up whilst he is saying this to all of them.

The guys knew he is drunk, some laughed, some smiled, some raised their can of beers to him.

"We are one family, aren't we." is all what Sehun said.

Everybody agreed and toast their drinks again.

Despite his drunkenness, Kyungsoo believed tomorrow will be a happy chapter in his life.
