CHAPTER 49

Kyungsoo shifted his position in bed and moved his arm to embrace Eunmi. He opened his eyes when he felt nothingness on his side. He saw the bedside clock and noticed it's still a bit early, wondering where Eunmi could be as he sat up.

Then he heard someone retching from the bathroom and quickly went there.

The door was not closed properly, he saw Eunmi slumped on the bathroom floor vomiting in the toilet bowl. Panicked driven, Kyungsoo rushed beside her and rubbed her back.

"Are you okay, Honey? Do you want me to call Dr. Chang?" he asked.

Eunmi just shook her head then retched more into the toilet. Once finished, she reached for the towel and wiped her mouth then tried to stand up.

Kyungsoo helped her and can't do anything but felt remorse as he saw beads of sweat on Eunmi's forehead looking flushed. He knew pregnancy can be sensitive but he didn't know it is this difficult and hard for the woman he loves. How he really wished Eunmi can share the burden with him.

"Can you please get me the crackers inside the bedside drawer on the right?" Eunmi said whilst washing her face.

Kyungsoo got them and hand Eunmi another towel. Eunmi ate some of the crackers whilst Kyungsoo helped her walk back to the bed.

"How are you feeling?"

"I still feel like my energy is depleted but I'll be fine soon. These crackers will help a lot whenever I'm throwing up as advised by the doctor." She answered. "I'm sorry you have to see that and I hoped I did not wake you up."

She shyly smiled while still nibbling on the crackers.

Kyungsoo held her hand, "No you didn't wake me up. I woke up because I felt you're not beside me. And you don't have to say sorry, I should be the one to say that because I cannot help you with it."

"It is just normal, Kyungsoo don't worry about it. My morning sickness will pass soon. Are you going to your office today?"

"Later in the afternoon, I'm going to wait for my driver first to bring me some clothes to change before going to the office. Baekhyun is there, he will fill Jongin and my position in the mean time till we get married but we will be available in case he needs help." Kyungsoo explained. "Do you have any plans for today?"

"I'd like to see my family before they go back to the countryside. Can you accompany me?"

"Of course, honey."

"And probably start the preparation for our wedding?"

"You don't have to worry about our wedding, it's already been taken care of. You saw your gown already, right? We just have to do some pre-wedding photos later on."

Eunmi sighed and calmly said, "Kyungsoo, we talked about this last night."

"I know, honey. This will be the last time, I promise. Just give me this pleasure of providing your dream wedding. Mind, I consulted Hemi and Sonbi about this first so it's going to be perfect. Don't worry about it, ok?" he said whilst kissing her on the temple.

"Okay, okay. I believe you." She said whilst standing up.

"Where are you going?" Kyungsoo asked holding to her arm.

"I'll get you a new towel so you can prepare."

"Stay, rest a bit in bed. Let me do it later, just tell me where they are."

"I will be your wife soon so I should be doing that and I'm going to cook breakfast for you, as promised."

Kyungsoo just hugged her and kissed her forehead whilst saying, "I am thrilled you're already thinking that but do you feel better now? Perhaps you can cook for me next time." he worriedly suggested.
