CHAPTER 55

-Meanwhile in Hemi and Jongin's bedroom-

"Babe, can you suggest a very good private investigator please?" Hemi asked her husband whilst brushing her hair.

Jongin stopped doffing his shirt and looked at Hemi.

"What do you need a private investigator for?"

Hemi stood up from the dresser and looked at Jongin who is getting in the bed, already starting to get ready for sleep.

Hemi just looked at her husband whose abs became more pronounced with his actions. She has seen her husband's abs numerous times but she cannot still get over how hot and sexy her husband is. Definitely he could be her meal served in a platter, Hemi thought naughtily in her head.

"Babe?" asked Jongin who look quizzically at Hemi when his wife did not answer.

Hemi snapped out of trance and was embarrassed. She needs to speak to her husband so she needs to think straight.

"Uhmm- There are a lot of negative comments on the boutique's website recently, I wanted to investigate that." She knew she deliberately lied to her husband and inwardly cursed herself.

"What you need is an IT specialist, do you want me to look at it? You know I can easily find that out with my skills." said Jongin.

"NO!"

"Babe?!" Jongin got surprise with her response like she was shouting. He was about to stand up but ended sitting back in bed.

"Sorry, what I meant was, I know how very busy you are with your work at Do MultiCorp. I can handle this." Hemi quickly went near and hugged her husband whilst praying for Jongin to not insist anymore, otherwise she does not know what else to say to cover up her real intention.

She should have allowed Rena to introduce them to a private investigator when she offered whilst they were eating out. Well, she did not know that it will be this difficult to lie to her husband.

Perhaps she tells her husband to forget about it?

Jongin released himself from his wife's embrace and stood up. He walked to their desk where his laptop was perched and opened it.

"Come on, let's find the culprit, I'd like to try."

Hemi was dumbfounded. She should have thought for a far more fetching story than this lame reason.

'Sorry, Eunmi-ah.' she thought in her head before stopping her husband.

"Okay, okay, that was a lie, my bad." she said with hands up. "The boutique is doing fine, touch wood. I don't have any problems about it at the moment." Hemi said whilst pulling his husband away from his laptop.

"Huh? What was that about? Tell me, what are you keeping from me?" Jongin raised his eyebrows and crossed his arms.

Hemi sighed and pulled Jongin back into the bed. "Sorry, Babe. But before I tell you the truth please swear you will keep this secret between the two of us?" she pleaded.

Jongin frowned more and said, "Are you suspecting me I am cheating on you?!"

"No, Babe! What are you saying?! Please make a promise first!" insisted Hemi.

Curiosity got the best of Jongin so he nodded to his wife and raised his right hand. "I promise."

"Are you sure???"

Jongin did not lower down his right hand and nodded again.

Hemi stared at her husband then spoke, "Remember what I told you about our speculations on how Eunmi-ah ended pregnant? She discussed it with us today and I think she is now ready to look into it."

Jongin gulped at what he heard. He did not say anything instead kissed his pretty wife.

Hemi cupped her husband's face and ended their kiss whilst asking, "Are you going to recommend us one?"

Jongin just looked at her trying to think, but he slowly nodded his head to avoid further conversation about it.

He had promised Kyungsoo to never tell his secret. It has always been the case since they were young, bros first before hoes. Not that he thought of his wife as a hoe, but the loyalty he has with his bestfriends overpowered the promise he did with his wife.

Kyungsoo should have told Eunmi by now, Jongin thought to himself. Tomorrow he will confont his bestfriend.

"Thanks, Babe!" Hemi said and continued kissing him again.

Jongin just yielded with his wife to avoid this talk.

Let's just say, he distracted Hemi with his hot and sexy abs.

It was again an intense morning for Kyungsoo, Jongin, Baekhyun and Jongdae and the rest of the board of Do MultiCorp.

They all thought acquiring this new company will be easy as before with the previous companies the corporation has taken over. However they never expected the problems the Acquision and Enquiry Department had laid out during their conference meeting hence it took all of their morning.

Kyungsoo heaved a sigh of relief as soon as the rest of the board left the conference room then quickly took out his phone to text his wife.

He did not realise his buddies are still in the room seriously talking to one another.

Jongin stopped his pals from leaving the room and asked, "Do any of you knew if Kyungsoo already told Eunmi he is the reason he got pregnant?"

Baekhyun shrugged his shoulders whilst Jongdae said he doesn't know.

"Why do you ask?" Baekhyun queried.

"I think the ladies are trying to investigate it now." Jongin answered.

"I knew it!" Jongdae said.

Jongin and Baekhyun looked at him questioningly.

"I know Eunmi-ah, she will never rest until she learns the truth. And I bet my ass, she is doing this without Kyungsoo's knowledge." Jongdae explained.

In the end, Jongin went near Kyungsoo followed by Baekhyun and Jongdae.

"Kyungsoo-ah, have you already told Eunmi about your secret?" Baekhyun asked.

The smile on Kyungsoo's face after sending a text to his wife vanished upon hearing the question. He just shook his head.

"Look Kyungsoo, when are you planning to tell her because my wife has been asking help to find them an investigator." Jongin said.

Kyungsoo seem alarmed at what his bestfriend has said.

"You promise me, Do Kyungsoo." it was now Jongdae.

His face showing guilt, Kyungsoo looked at all of them. He knew the time has come to do the inevitable.

"I will." that was all he simply said.

"Buddy, better tell her ASAP before they find it out otherwise all hell will break loose." joked Baekhyun.

"And you will not like Eunmi when she gets angry." Jongdae said in finality.

It was not a threat but Kyungsoo believed what Jongdae has said to him.

The question is how is he going to do it?
