CHAPTER 68

Kyungsoo wobbled on his feet as he arrived in front of the door. His vision was blurry as he tried to key in the passcode. Eventually he managed to do so in the end.

He did not bother to turn on the lights as he entered the pad and walked straight to the bedroom.

What for?

His life is dark anyways. His wife left him for good. What else is there for him to expect.

He opened the bedroom door and got surprised to see the bedside lamp on and a sleeping form on his bed.

"Eu-Eunmi-ah?"

Kyungsoo was heavily drunk and he cannot tell if what he is seeing is real or only an illusion.

"Eunmi-ah!

"Hmm.." she answered. Eunmi woke up and sat up from the bed.

Kyungsoo run closer to the bed and kneeled in front.

"Eunmi-ah, honey..." he could only say whilst stroking her face gently.

"I'm here." Eunmi simply said.

Kyungsoo embraced her tight and whispered, "I'm very, very sorry, Eunmi-ah. I love you, please don't leave me."

Eunmi smelled alcohol from him surmising he must be drunk. This the first time she saw him in this state. Previously, her husband knew his limits and has control when drinking.

"It's alright, honey, I'm sorry too. I missed you so much..."

Kyungsoo released her from his embrace and saw her tears falling from her face.

"You don't have to say sorry, please don't cry. It's all my fault, if only I was truthful at the beginning..." Kyungsoo wiped the tears falling from her cheeks.

Eunmi smiled as she saw Kyungsoo also becoming teary-eyed.

"Hush now. Don't say anything anymore, I know all about it." she said and pulled Kyungsoo into another embrace, rubbing his back up and down as he cried into her shoulders.

"I love you so much, Eunmi. Please don't leave me again, I can't live without you. Please come back to me." Kyungsoo said. Some of his words were slurred.

"I won't leave anymore, I promise." she said then release him. She stood up from the bed, "Come, lie in the bed. I can see you've had too many alcohol today, have a rest. We'll talk tomorrow."

Eunmi wanted to ask what had happened to him and where did he go to but did not bother anymore. Kyungsoo is not in the right state. She thought maybe he does not even know about Daddy Edward.

"No! You will leave me again!" Kyungsoo said embracing her.

"Sshhh, calm down. I am home now I will not leave anymore, I promise. I will be here when you wake up." Eunmi released herself from his husband and looked at him in the eyes.

"Promise?" Kyungsoo asked, like a small child. His wet eyes were obviously drooping.

Eunmi nodded her head and kissed him quickly on the lips. "Promise."

Kyungsoo let Eunmi guide him to the bed, following her like a lost puppy. She fixed the pillow on his head then stood up but Kyungsoo held her wrist.

"Don't go, please."

Eunmi kissed him again whilst stroking his face, "I'll just get you something to change."

She got him a shirt and took a flannel and wet this from the bathroom then went back to Kyungsoo. She helped his husband removed his clothes and wiped his reddened face and his body, doing it again then helped him put on a clean t-shirt. She kept wiping his face until she saw him falling asleep, comfortable in bed.
