CHAPTER 40

Eunmi woke up earlier than usual the next day. It was only half past six in the morning but she was feeling quite fresh and energize despite the remarkable day she had yesterday.

Reflecting back at all the things that happened for the past two days, she thank God for making her damn lucky. Yes, she got pregnant by a stranger but it was resolved easily because a man proposed to her. A man that she's starting to fall in love with. How lucky could she get!

Thinking about Kyungsoo, she still can't believe that man loves her. Plus he made certain that he is very much willing to take responsibility of her unborn baby. It's too good to be true!

She thought rich people would only prefer perfection  in there life and never would they associate themselves with commoners, especially those with so much drama happening in their lives, just like her. Kyungsoo proved to be more humane than the stereotyped wealthy people. And that adds to the many reasons why her admiration is increasing day by day.

She only wished his father will recover soon because she wants to know his thoughts about her going to be Mrs. Do Kyungsoo. Although, he showed a liking of her at her bestfriend's wedding, what about now that she is going to be his son's future wife who is pregnant by somebody else?

That thought reeled her off. She does not like the feeling of uncertainty. She will make sure to visit him later today.

Holding on to her flat stomach, she wholeheartedly accepted that a life is growing inside of her but it still amazes her.

Before, if she learned that someone is pregnant, Eunmi would just think it's natural, she wouldn't delve into it anymore. Now she is in the same condition, she can't expressed what are her emotions. It's overwhelming and scary! Babies are God's blessings, no contest on that however, will she be a good mother?

Well, she does not have problems mingling and interacting with the children at the orphanage, she naturally loves kids. However, it is still different now that she's talking about her own child. Will she be able to rear her child to grow into a good person? She is hoping together with Kyungsoo, they will be role models to bring a wonderful child or children in the future. Probably, she'll have to talk about this with him.

Thinking about it, Eunmi is pretty sure that Kyungsoo would like to have his own child in the future, not that he won't treat her unborn baby as his own from the looks of it. She would like to give him one without a doubt, if they get lucky in the future. This thought made her blush, feeling suddenly giddy inside.

If only he is the father of the baby she is carrying, she will probably not feel this hesitation and doubt. Whomever did rape her is a bastard! She swore she will find the culprit and bring herself to justice!

Luckily her bestfriends support her as well. She will just rest for a couple of days and she will start investigating.

Eunmi is really thankful of the heavens for sending her bestfriends to her. They are her pillars of support for as long as she can remember. Without them, she doesn't know if she will be the same person as she was.

She is really glad both have found their own happiness before she did. Hemi is now happily married with Jongin, who loves her dearly to the point of throwing their honeymoon out of a whim just her wife can be with her bestfriend. She can't wait for Sonbi to get settled with Yeol too, who proved to be as worthy as Jongin for always being there whenever her bestfriend needed support and treating her and Hemi like his own sisters.

It's a good thing their wedding preparations have been finalized and they don't have to go through like what they did for Hemi's wedding.

Perhaps, she could also get married soon before her baby bump starts to show. Not that she wanted to be hitched before Sonbi, she really felt it will raise a lot of uncomfortable questions if she walked the aisle with a big belly.

Speaking of which, Kyungsoo and herself have not spoken about it. Yes, she accepted his marriage proposal but she does not even know the details yet. Heck, she does not even have an engagement ring!

Eunmi was staring at the clock listening to it's soft ticking for a long time when she realised the time. She did not know she was contemplating for more than an hour since she woke up. Perhaps it's her pregnancy, she does not always had the time to stop and think about things in her life before. As her friends called her, a workaholic chick. It's a small price she has to pay for enjoying and loving her job too much.

On the other hand, she was glad she's on leave.

Eunmi got up from the bed, washed up and changed into her usual day clothes. After making her bed, she grabbed her phone and left her room making her way to Sonbi's room. She knew Yeol didn't stay for the night and left with Kyungsoo last night. She did not knock anymore and is surprised to see her bed tidy. She took out her phone and called her bestfriend.

It took a moment before Sonbi answered.

"Hellooo! The ever lovely Sonbi speaking!" Eunmi rolled her eyes as she smiled. Sonbi always answers her calls with that phrase.

"It's me. Where are you?"

"Sorry, Mi, I did not wake you up anymore to inform I will be working. I'm here at the restaurant. Got an urgent order for a party cake."

"Huh? You're not usually accepting cake unless it's part of a catering order?" she inquired.

"I know but this is for someone special and I can't say no. Friendship, I've got to go. I'm losing my concentration here. I'll see you later. Take care of yourself! Bye!" then Sonbi hung up.

Eunmi was puzzled with her bestfriend as she stared at her phone. Then it suddenly rang from an unknown caller.

Who is calling her this early?
