Sticking up for her

Sam's POV:

Another day of school and it was hard. First we painted, I painted a frog and Dylan painted a wiggly worm. Gross. And Casper painted a spider. Scary. And then we were read to listening is so hard when your tired.

It was play time and I had just come out of class when I saw Reese being picked on by a group of girls and boys, I ran over and tried to stop them, "stop being mean to her" I said standing next to her and holding her hand she gave me a small smile, "Reese has got a boyfriend, your really little" one girl said, "I'm not little my chart says so" I said in defense, "well I don't need a chart because I am taller than you" a boy added, "and we're older than you" someone chipped in, "yeah well Reese is my friend and if you want to hurt her you'll have to go through me first" I said angrily, "Sam its fine go" Reese smiled at me slightly worried, "no they need to be taught a lesson" I said looking at them, "what you gonna do little guy?" I then glared at him, and ran and pushed him with all my force, he fell on the floor and I hit him in the face, "what is going- SAM BIBBY YOU GET HERE RIGHT NOW!" The teacher yelled, "whoopsi" I chuckled in his face, Reese smiled at me and followed as I walked up to the teacher, she looked down at me, "Sam I am very disappointed in you. Come with me... You to Reese" she said taking us to the head teachers office, "Sam... I am very unhappy to see this from you. Your mum and dad are coming in for a talk now to discuss that we do NOT fight with other children. If you have an issue talk to a teacher do NOT punch someone" she said sternly, I stood there. What would mum and dad say. Uncle James would laugh and give me a high five, I was hoping mum and dad would be like that too.

We all sat in an office. The head teacher behind a desk and me in the middle of my mum and dad, I looked at their faces, dad had I small grin and mum was holding her laugh back, "mister and misses Bibby I am sorry to have dragged you out on such sort notice" the head said politely, "no its fine we weren't doing much anyway" dad coughed with a smirk, "oh right... Well I brought you out because Sam has punched another child in the face" she explained, "what year was this child in?" dad asked, "the year above. Year 1" my mum was trying so hard not to burst out laughing. Probably why dad wasn't looking at her, "oh right thats really funny" dad muttered under his breath, I smiled, "and why did he punch this kid anyway?" he said looking at me, "I don't actually know why-" "they were being mean to Reese-" "Sam let me speak" the head said politely, I looked at my mum who was smirking at me, still silently giggling, "Sam go on" "They were being mean to Reese I was saving her" I explained, "Sam if it was bothering you, you should've told someone" the head explained, "yes Sam punching is very wrong" my dad looked at me, but he was smiling as he said it and didn't sound very serious, "exactly. Reese can deal with her own problems" "no Reese is my friend and I will help her whenever she needs it" I folded my arms, "of course Sam" Dad added, "but no punching" "no not unless he tries hitting you first then you hit him ten times harder" my dad nodded, "no Mr Bibby that isn't our rules" the head disagreed, "what so just let him get punched in the face great idea" my mum finally spoke up, slightly red from holding her laugh back, "no thats not what I'm saying-" "well it sounds like it" she nodded, "lets go. By the way we're taking our son. See ya bye" my mum said as both mum and dad got up and took my hands and walked out. When we got outside my mum and dad both broke into hysterics, "you actually punched a child older than you because of girl troubles... High five" dad laughed high fiving me, "come on" mum said still slightly laughing.

"We are not mature enough to have kids" my mum laughed as we climbed in the car.
