"Oi oi oi" the excited chants of the boys have me lifting my head from my phone, "H is playing with fire boy" Kai slaps me on the shoulder as he points across the room with his other hand. I follow his finger until my eyes settle on my lifelong mate stood in the middle of the dance floor chatting with the she devils herself. My eyes are fixated on them, they make an eye-catching duo if you didn't know she was poisonous to him she will only ever have bad intentions for him after he screwed her over years ago, that I am sure about.

"What is he doing?" I pull my stare from them to look at Mason who is shaking his head from side to side a look of distaste written all over his face "isn't he in enough shit with Em as it is?" He continues to state the obvious. As the rest of the boys agree with him, it leaves a nasty taste in my mouth to admit it, but they are right for a change, he is never going to fix his shit with Emily if he shoves Ava in her face even if that is what she seems determined to do with Hayden.

I return my line of vision to him in the hope that he will feel the burning of my stare into him and get the hell out of there.

BINGO, of course he caught on in seconds.

I shake my head as he locks eyes with me, needing him to read my expression, I mean don't get me wrong I am all for him doing his thing and giving Em a taste of her own medicine after everything that has been going down recently but it needs to be with anyone but Ava, right now I need him to escape her clutches before he ruins all his plans because she is Emily's breaking point after everything she has been through because of his cheating with her.

I keep my focus on him, I can spot his HFT classic brush off moves from over here I have seen them so many times before. The classic step back creating space between them, so any body contact is no longer there followed by a few hand gestures in the direction of our group and the final gentle touch of the upper arm as he places a soft kiss on the skin of the desperate girl's cheek and just like that within seconds he is heading in my direction.

A smirk plastered across his face as he takes the time to seek out the death stare he can clearly sense, his eyes scan the room before they finally fall onto Emily who has been watching him like a crazed woman, a shudder takes hold of me as I watch her eyes meeting his non-committal gaze with her scowl of death, the look each and every one of the Mboys dreaded receiving from her when we had wound her up or done something she didn't agree with.

Their moment breaks as he joins me at the bar "seriously H what are you playing at?" I quietly scold him as he arrives at my side resting himself on the edge of the bar waving at the barman to let him know he is wanting a beer "well" I push him for an answer my patience in the rift between them starting to grate away into small pieces.

The all to famous HFT dimpled smile breaks across his face as he turns his focus to me "I'm not playing at anything Fred, she came and spoke to me, it would be rude to ignore her and trust me the last thing we need is her causing a scene tonight" he shrugs his actions off like he was doing everyone a favour as he continues "plus I am single so I can do as I please, can't I?"

I let out a sigh, he is right he is single, and he can do as he pleases but its not the way to handle life by going backwards to something that destroyed it and will do the same again if given the chance. I want to call him out on it, tell him that he should of learnt that putting his dick into that just gets it put into a vice of begging and pleading for forgiveness but instead I opt to give him just a small warning "let me just say this Hero, learn from the past do not drag it into your future because if you do you will lose so much more than last time" I wait a second watching as the look on his face changes the realisation that he has far too much at risk now than ever before settling on it as he nods his head finally agreeing with me.
