Chapter 70: Saved from shame?

Finally I’ve got all the guts to take the risk. Aaminin ko nung una, natakot ako na baka masira ang friendship namin ni Grace dahil sa pag-amin ko, pero buti na nga lang hindi. “Kanina ka pa tahimik ah. Okay ka lang?” tanong ko kay Grace.

Kanina pa siya tahimik pagkatapos naming umalis kanina sa mall. Dinala ko siya sa isang park. Marami rami rin yung tao kahit medyo gabi na. Sabado rin naman kasi eh.

“Wa...wala.” she stuttered as she turns her head to the other side. Naglalakad lakad lang kami. Inaya ko siyang kumain kanina kaso ayaw niya, ayoko namang pilitin, baka bastedin ako bigla eh.

I stopped from my tracks. Nagpatuloy siya sa paglalakad. Napansin niya siguro na wala ako sa tabi niya kaya nilingon niya ako. “Oh ba’t ka nandiyan?”

I sighed tapos lumapit sa kanya. “Eh ikaw ba’t ka ganyan?”

“Huh?” she mumbled tapos tinaasan pa ako ng kilay.

“Ba’t ka ganyan.” Ulit ko. “Tahimik mo masyado eh.”

She bit her lip as she looked down. “Na aawkwardan ako eh.”

So yun pala?

“Yun lang ba?” tanong ko tapos iniangat yung ulo niya. Tumango naman siya ng parang bata.

“Tutal na-aawkwardan ka na, lulubus lubusin ko na,” I paused. Bahala na si Batman! “Pumayag ka bang ligawan kita dahil ayaw mong mapahiya ako sa harap ng mga tao kanina?”

She looked at me and bit her lip again. I choked up. Possible kayang ginawa lang niya yun para hindi nga ako mapahiya?

After a night at the hospital, nadischarge na rin ako. Angel was with me the whole time. She would even visit me in my house from time to time. I can say na okay na kami. She’s still the bubbly girl I’ve met nung bata pa kami. I was just so amazed na marami siyang kayang gawin. She even knows a lot of sports more than I do. Napabilib niya ako ng sobra. It’s been days simula nung mangyari lahat yun.

We always hang out, yung nga lang palaging kasama si Jade and sometimes, one of my sisters. Sometimes, I feel out of place pag kasama ko sila. They’d always talk about girl stuff. But there are times na kami lang din dalawa ang magkasama. I’d love to hear her stories after we parted ways. I learned na naging active siya sa basketball team nila dati sa high school and I learned na nagkaboyfriend din siya dun. Ewan ko ba, pero when I heard about that, I felt sad. The way she tells me about how good the guy was, hindi ko maexplain yung happiness sa mata niya.

She also mentioned about why they broke up. She told me that the guy cheated and even pushed her away. Galit na galit ako sa nalaman ko. I know I’ve done almost the same thing as what that dude did dati, pero nagsisisi akong ginawa ko yun. She cried so much nung ikwento niya lahat yun, I on the other hand, felt bad for her. I feel like I have to protect her. She’s fragile, kaya I’ll be by her side to protect her, no matter what.

“What’s the meaning of this?!”I almost dropped my phone nung biglang pumasok sa room ko si Jade with her laptop.

“Do you even know how to knock?!” I yelled.

Hindi niya pinansin ang sinabi ko, but instead she came near me and handed her laptop. “Anong ibig sabihin niyan? Akala ko ba sila na ni Thomas?”

I looked at the screen. There flashed a picture of Kiefer holding Grace’s hand. Yung background eh members the blue eagles with letters in their shirts forming ‘LOVE YOU’ and some other people wearing blue.

“So you guys put up a play in front of me that day?!” galit niyang tanong.

“I’m out of this Jade.” I said calmly. “Kayo ni Thomas ang dapat mag usap.”

“No Jeron!” she yelled. “Isa ka pa! Kayong tatlo manloloko kayo!”

She went out my room. I let out a sigh. Kung bakit pa kasi ako sumali sa gulo ni Thomas eh! Shit! I know Jade would not let me get off the hook just that easy. Gaganti yun for sure. I'm just so scared na baka idamay niya si Angel. I hope she won't.

Hala! ano yang kina Kiefer at Grace? Ba't ganyan?

Mehehehe dahil nagseselos si grace dahil may Trinca si Kiefer! Hahaha joke lang!! abangan niyo nalang kung ano talaga yung reason :D

And and, ano kaya ang gagawin ni Jade? Halaaa!! Lagot sina Thomas, Grace at Jeron nito. Iba pa naman magalit si Jade? BWHAHAHAHA!!
