Chapter 77: Collapsed

From the start, I wanted revenge. Yun naman yung plano ko eh, pero my feelings became a hindrance. Tama si Jade. Nasimulan ko na to, kailangan ko tong tapusin. Kailangan ko ng tapusin ang lahat ng ito.

I took my phone to see our photo together. Kuha yun nung araw na nagstar gazing kami. For the nth time naisipan kong kalimutan lahat lahat ng pinlano ko. He’s sincere in asking for my forgiveness, and that second chance for me to love him again. Naalala ko tuloy yung nangyari nung araw na yun.

“Sana hindi nalang kita tinaboy nun.” He said while looking intently in my eyes. “Eh di sana, mahal mo pa ako ngayon.”

I placed my finger to his lips as I smiled. “Kahit kailan naman, ikaw pa rin naman ang mahal ko Jeron.”

He removed my finger from his lips as he smiled and slowly leaned to me. That night was a memorable night for the two of us. we shared a passionate kiss that made me wish na sana hindi ako magsisi sa gagawin ko.

I closed my eyes and tried to shrug away that memory. I sighed as I opened my eyes.

“Ms. Angel, nandito na po yung gwapo mong boypren.” Sabi nung maid namin.

Hindi ko alam kung this would be the perfect night para gawin yung plano ko. Pero sabi nga ni Jade, mas mabuti pa na malaman niya lahat mula sa akin, kaysa naman si Jade pa ang magsabi.

I fixed myself bago ako umalis ng kwarto ko. I went down the living room and spotted him with his smile that never fails to make me feel that I’m secured.

“Hey gorgeous!” bati niya, still with his smile.

“Bolero.” Sabi ko and faked a chuckle. “San mo na naman ba ako dadalhin ha?”

“Basta. Oh ano? Tara na?” he asked. Hindi pa rin nawawala yung ngiti niya. I’m just worried na baka pagkatapos nito, hindi ko na makikita ang mga ngiti niya.

Sumakay kami sa kotse niya. I feel like the drive is taking so long. I remained silent the whole trip. Ayokong magsalita, baka magbreak down lang ako sa harap niya.

“Gel. Kanina ka pa tahimik ah? May problema ka ba?” he asked.

I faked as smile. “Wala.”

“Don’t worry. Malapit na tayo.” He asssured.

Ilang sandali lang eh tumigil yung kotse niya. I remembered the place. It’s where we had our first kiss.

“Opps! Teka. Pikit ka muna.” Sabi niya.

I obeyed him. Pumikit ako tapos tinakpan niya rin yung mga mata ko gamit yung mga kamay niya. He lead me to somewhere, hindi ko alam. Ang alam ko lang ngayon eh kinakabahan ako sa pwedeng mangyari.

He slowly removed his hands as I slowly opened my eyes. Nagulat ako sa nakita ko.

I looked back at him. I cannot stop myself from breaking down. I feel so special, even more special dahil sa ginawa niya. From top of the cliff kung saan naka set up ang isang well decorated na tent with decorated table for two, kita kita ang isang billboard, where a photo of us way back nung panget pa ako at patpatin pa siya. Pero hindi lang yung ang ikinagulat ko.

‘I love you’ yan yung nakasulat sa may baba nung picture. My tears fell as I heard him repeating what’s written.

“I love you Gel.” Sabi niya.

I looked back at him. He wiped my tears and kissed my forehead. “I know naging gago ako Gel.” He paused. “But I swear this time, hindi ko na hahayaang masaktan ka pa.”

I was choked up with the words he said. Hindi ko alam kung itutuloy ko pa ang plano ko. A part of me is telling not to, but a part of me is also saying na ituloy ko to.
