~One Year Later~ (Age: 19)

"Will you go out with me!" Profusely shouted Naruto as he held out a bouquet of (f/c) roses in front of me. He kept his eyes tightly closed with his tan whiskered cheeks turning rosy.

My face started to flare up as I sat on the swing near the academy with the wind lightly blowing our hair.

"I was about to ask you myself if you didn't do it by the end of the week," I laughed with a smile on my lips. "But yes, I will!"

His eyes shot open and an overwhelming warmth enveloped his body as he wrapped him arms around my waist and lifted me up in the air and spun me around.

"H-Hey!" I squeaked as girls from the academy gushed and squealed at the sight of us together.

Naruto put me back down on my feet with a never ending smile as he held my hands in his.

"To celebrate, I'll treat you to some ramen!" He exclaimed.

"Our first date then," I intertwined my hand with his and shyly glanced at him as I did so.

"Yeah! Let's go!" He pulled me in the direction of Ichiraku's and as were almost in reach, a female voice called Naruto's name.

We turned our head to the right and saw a tan skinned teenage girl with auburn hair and honey brown eyes running to us with a medium sized box in her hands.

She stopped right in front of us with her tanned cheeks heating up as she lifted the box and presented it right in front of Naruto.

"Please accept this!"

Naruto panicked and nervously looked between me and the chocolates and stammered out, "Um, uh I- ask my girlfriend!" He shoved me in front of him and I stood standing in between him and the gift. I reached out and grabbed the box from her hands and proceeded to open it.

"Hmm he can't accept it but I'll take them," I said to her as I closed the box of heart shaped chocolates.

"Oh...are you two...?" she trailed off and I nodded my head at her unfinished question. She panicked as she realized what she had just done and exclaimed, "I'm so sorry! I didn't know!"

"I don't blame you since we barely made it official, but just be sure to let the others know he's taken," I patted her shoulder and she lifted her head up and agreed to do so before she dashed off.

"Only you can scare away the entire female population," laughed Naruto and I eyed him from the corner of my eye as I opened the box of chocolates and popped one in my mouth.

"What's that suppose to mean? Are you saying I'm scary looking?"

"N-No! I just meant that you're like one of the strongest ones, so of course they wouldn't want to mess with you! You remember when you beat a girl up during our academy days!" Explained Naruto.

"I clearly remember. But besides that, they need to know that you're taken now," I latched my arm around his and lead us inside the newly renovated Ichiraku's.

~Two Weeks Later~

"How's the couple life treating you sweetheart?" Questioned Kiba who Naruto and I encountered along with Tenten and Neji during an afternoon walk.

Kiba ruffled my hair and Naruto who watched that happen, could feel a tinge of jealousy and slightly glared at Kiba who was slightly leaning closer to my face.

"When was I ever your sweetheart?" I slowly backed away from him until Kiba was pushed aside by Tenten.

"She's Naruto's sweetheart, not yours."
